GE DIDN'T bring good things to life

Turned on the microwave and all power just went out. Checked the breaker panel, but none are tripped. Does this model have a fuse or something that controls all power to it? Model is from August 2001, and only gets moderate use.

If the fuse blew as soon as you hit START to begin cooking, chances are you have a shorted high voltage capacitor. If it blew a few seconds after hitting START, then it's more likely to be a defective high voltager transformer. You may notice a buring smell. It's also possible that you have a defective thermostat / thermal cutout on the magnetron (especially if the oven has ever been run empty, arced or sparked, or overheated). In cases where the internal fuse blows, there's usually a cause, even if it's just a loose fuse holder. My microwave ge space maker 1400xl will not work and or turned on please help !

If your GE Spacemaker XL 1400 microwave oven is not turning on, there are a few things you can do to diagnose the problem and try to remedy it. First, unplug the microwave oven and plug it back in again to supply power back to the oven after a power surge. Second, make sure the door is firmly shut as the oven does not operate unless the door is completely closed. Third, check the breaker box to make sure the switch associated with your microwave oven is not flipped to the "Off" position. Finally, press and hold the "Clear/Off" button on the front panel if the "Locked" message appears on the display. If none of these steps work, then the problem could be anything from a defective control circuit board or a burned out magnetron tube. Either fix is quite expensive and you'll have to evaluate the cost of repair versus the cost of replacing the microwave oven.

Tripped breaker while running, now it has no power

You would be better off replacing the microwave oven, it is at the end of life.To replace parts would easily cost more than a new item, plus prices have dropped considerably over the years.

Went to warm up a food item and after 3 seconds the microwave shut off like the circuit breaker tripped. time face went blank, light inside does not light up and stove top lights do not light. circuit...

You have a fuse behind the screen panel. You have screws inside the microwave holding the panel. you have 1-2 at the bottom. You may also have to remove the vent. It has 2-3 screws which will be inside the vent. These can be removed from the front. Once these are removed the panel will pop off and you will see the fuse The fuse can be bought at a radio shack. BE SURE TO UNPLUG THE MICROWAVE! Good Luck

GE Spacemaker Microwave JVM1441 BH04 tripping circuit breaker

your power transformer for the magnetron could have a shorted primary power winding, the door safety interlock switch could be mis-adjusted,this normally blows the internal unit fuse,a shorted high voltage capacitor,or diode,a bare wire inside the unit, more than the microwave on that circuit or a weak circuit breaker in the house power panel

Turned on the microwave and all power just went out. Checked the breaker panel, but none are tripped.

when you said the power went out ( did you mean to the micro or the complete hm . if only to micro it probably blew it internal fuse . they doo that . replace the fuse ( radio shack is a good place to get it .) but ck the door inter lock's as they may have caused the failure . ps buy more than one fuse / you may need more. **** ,,
