What free motion foot can you attach to this singer 3116 model?

It looks like your power cord and foot pedal are incorporated into one unit, and you'll have to replace the foot pedal to get it. You can get it for $30 at sewing parts online, http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/singer-3116-simple-sewing-machine-parts.aspx?gclid=CLTXmrLC18ECFeHm7AodBioADg, and you can also get them from eBay by doing a search on Singer Simple 3116.

Just like the regular working foot, most zipper feet look the same regardless of machine. At least, the part of the foot that is actually in contact with the work: small, solid--no thread slot or needle well in the middle--and a small notch on each of the left and right sides.

the zipper foot position is adjustable, not the needle position.

you could probably do light quilting on it, you'd probably
need to buy a extension table for it.

Go to the singer website
Go to the home page
At the bottom of the page look for instruction manual--click on it
It will take you to another page
In the box put the model number (example 3116 ) & click search
They usually have a free download

check on page 16 about the foot

You need to rethread, now put the presser foot up, pull on the top thread. then lower the presser foot, pull on the top thread, it should barely move. This should seat your thread in the tension discs. Also, make sure that you have a fresh needle inserted the right way, flat side to the rear of the machine. Good luck
