Refreshing database - Everytime

Hello there, I've just bought a 1gb micro sd card and everything works great. Except the fact that everytime I turn my SANSA e200 on, it has to refresh the database. Why is that happening? Does anyone knows? Thanks!

I had the same problem but with it's own drive. I later found out that i didn't have enough memory for my mp3 player to make a database. maybe the same is true for your sd card. I had to have atleast 6 mbs of free memory. make sure your sd card is not all the way full. Hope fully that will fix your problem.

It's only reading the data on the micro sd, it just has to have that little time to do that, even if there is hardly anything on the sd, it still needs to check it out, just like it does with its own drive. Don't seat it, if you don't like it see if you can put the data onto the main drive of your sansa.

Make sure that the SD slot is not dirty, check inside with a light and you may want to blow it out.

Micro sd probelem

Well, the most memory from a micro sd card the Sansa mp3 player can take is 2gb, because anything more will freeze up the player because it was not designed to read that much memory. So if you have a 1gb or a 2gb memory card, then you can use them.

Memory card micro sd cannot format

i found something to fix it. or at least it worked for me
http://hddguru.com/download/software/HDDGURU-Low-Level-Format-Tool/LLFsetup.2.36.1181.exe
Install that, then run the program and CAREFULLY select your card from the formatting list
then do a low level format
Then format it on windows or phone or whatever

PLEASE BE CAREFULL NOT TO SELECT YOUR HARD DISK IN THE PROGRAM. IT WILL VAPORIZE ALL YOUR DADA

Sansa Hack!!! please help!

You device is too full. You need minimum 6MB for the "music database". The more music you have, the bigger the database needs to be. Try freeing up 30MB or so, that should solve it. Please add to the question, dont select NOT HELPFUL if this didnt work. Best of Luck.

How do you refresh database?

This just means that the player is refreshing the songs on the list, it does not mean that you have to do anything.
