Your display screen is damaged. Just get it replaced at nearby camera technician. It should be all right.

SOURCE: Black screen on Kodak M753

You have a bad CCD imaging sensor. Not worth repairing. Very common problem with most point and shoot cameras. Suggest you buy a new camera.

Dropped olympia video camera.screen has went completely blank in camera/record mode.help

The same thing happend to my computer when I dropped it. A friend fixed it, but I'm not sure of what he did. I think it is a cable sending information to the screen to tell it what to show that is broken.

If i'm right, the problem isn't so big, but unless you know something about videocameras, don't try it yourself!

Screen stays black when turned on in take picture/video mode

There is something wrong with the lens. Perhaps its obstructed by something or the lens doesn't really open @ all. Try cleaning the lens with lint free cloth if not. Follow the in-warranty repair process @ www.kodak.com/go/stepbystep the website will ask you to troubleshoot first. Just keep following the website in the end if issue persist it will give you the page that you need to fill up so that you can send your camera and repair.
Note: After filling-up the information on the page and completing it wait for an e-mail from Kodak it will give you details how to send your camera for repair. It will also contain the address and phone number of the repair centre.

Flash pops up, but lens doensn't extend

there is nothing we can do at this time, you cannot repair this by yourself the miniature motor that drives the lens in and out could be damaged at this time nor the shuter mechanism that drives the assy, is binded mechanically

if this is still under warranty you might want to send this unit asap.

Kodak easyshare m853 digital camera

is the light that's coming on green or red?
if it's red, there's a charging error - contact kodak, they may provide a 5v ac adapter to resolve your charging issue

if it's green, was it blinking or solid? is the battery drained?
if the battery still has a little charge on it, please connect it to the computer then turn it on, check if there's power light
check if the screen is black - that means it's making a connection and the charging is the only issue - computer not detecting it, maybe resolved by kodak's software support

if the camera screen is active - that means there's definitely something wrong with the camera

arrange repairs with kodak, include the battery and usb cable

Faint LCD Screen

i`ve heard about this, but in the other 2 situations the cameras were dropped on water, the problem is that the, lcd connector is not making the proper contact with the main electreonic board, maybe your camera was dropped or something hit it, you just have to open it, and check the lcd connector and adjust it.

Kodak dx7630 Dark Photos

first of all, this is not a solution. i think your camera's problem almost same with mine. i think your inner lens of your camera isn't totally opened, and it is same with my camera, which is cannot opened at all, maybe you dropped it or exposed it to water. if you go to kodak web site they suggest that you must take it back to the factory.
