Hi there:
The only time I have seen horizontal lines in the pictures, it was a prelude to the CCD sensor failing. Sounds like a CCD sensor problem. If the CCD sensor is causing the problem, it will get worse soon.Usually the next thing to happen is that the colors will shift toward pink.

I suggest you phone Photo Local support and tell them the problem and that you suspect the CCD.Ask for a repair quote for a CCD replacement. If the product is under warranty.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.
Hope helps.

SOURCE: Kodak EasyShare P850 - Black screen

I have fixed several Kodak models including this one with exactly the same problem. Sometimes tapping on the side will fix it temporally. The fix is to open the back of the camera and snap the connector from the lens. If the camer is dropped the connector can come unsnapped. You should only attempt this if you have had some experence working on electronics. Be careful inside the camera especially in the upper right corner which is where the high voltage is for the flash. You can get a large shock from this camera if your not careful.

SOURCE: Pinkish screen and green blurred picture

Sounds like the image sensor is malfunctioning (common symptoms: distorted images with purple or green cast, completely dark images, flickering lines across the screen.)

SOURCE: Kodak Easyshare camera turns on and off

Hi, here is whats going on, if your M763 is powering on for 2 secs and the lense opens up then go's right back in, there is a 90% chance you got sand in the unit from say the beach ?

here is a test , when you press the power buttion watch the lense you will notice that the bigger part rotates as it comes out, what you want to do is give it a little help Lightly rotate it abit more just at the point where it normaly stops and go's back in, the cam will prob stay on and work like normal.

now the hard part 2 things to try, a can of AIR from walmarts try to blow out and sand thats around the rings, i did this and have fixed about 20 of these's now, on the others you will need to take it apart and clean the gears and mech of the lense housing then put it all back together.

hope this helps

SOURCE: my kodak easyshare M753 has pink tint and lines

its obvious a malfunction that didn't occur by bad handling ..and if the device it is still in the warranty period , my advice is to go for it if you never open it or other things that you wouldn't suppose to do

How do I turn on date imprint on easyshare m532?

The camera won't deface your photos by scrawling a string of numbers across them. However the date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Kodak easyshare m532 viewin screen is blocked dont know weather been dropped is it fixable

There is a button that turns off the screen and turns on the eyepiece. Try finding that button and press it and the screen should turn on again. If not there may be damage to the screen.

I need to know if I can download the software cd for my m532 easyshare kodak camera

You may download Kodak software here.
You don't really need the Kodak software. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
