I think you have change its internal setting so reset your phone again so its again setup your phone and your problem has been removed like phone ring.
Sorry, but there is no way to get this phone to work on your normal residential phone jack. It was designed to be used as part of a key system, which requires the control system (also called the KSU). The phones are a proprietary digital design and only work when attached to the proper KSU. Unless you want to try locating the rest of the system on eBay or purchase through some other vendor, all you can do with the phone is use it as a paperweight.
you would need to enter system programming mode and change MB 1-8-31 to external. The internal music is pretty bad. This works on elite and ipk platforms. It depends on your system type. Look at the phone system and see what letters it has on it. ldtsnj.com
Remove the 2 screws from the bottom of the screen at the back of the monitor. Half way between where you removed those screws use a flat tip screwdriver or similar to push the back plastic shell in & up to release the clip holding the 2 parts together. Similar clips also hold the top sections together. Good luck

If your question is what specific system you have, it is the NEC Electra Professional. If your main control box (called a KSU - Key Service Unit) is a plastic cabinet, you have the Level 1 system. If your KSU is metal, you have the Level II (2) system.
remove cartridge and leave top door open, then remove two screws in back ; open front sheet panel to find two screws to remove then remove outer case carefully AND PLACE ON LEFT SIDE BECAUSE THERE'S A RIBBON WIRE ATTACHED. there are 4 screws holding the fuser unit in place, remove AND LIFT OUT BY ROLLING TOWARD YOU to reveal 2 screws to access the red roller assembly! In my case there was a very tightly wound piece of paper stuck in there not visable without removing the screws on the fuser unit!
