Check fuses. one may be blown, and the other one not, Therefore you are getting only 110V to a 220v circuit.

My Frigidaire fex831fs4 washer motor hums but wont start.i took belt off.still hums no start even when timer is not set to run.if I close lid motor hums then kicks out then it trys again.thanks 4 help

I appreciate your post, Mike!

Based off what you have described your Frigidaire washer motor will hum and not start. In order to test each component you would need to have the proper electrical equipment. I would recommend contacting a professional technician for proper repairs. They will have the necessary equipment needed to complete your repair. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

I have an e3eb020h furnace that, when I cut it on, the blower works fine, but I have a weird humming noise coming from the furnace unit. What could it be?

humming could be a body panel or metal to metal point that came loose and just needs secured in the furnace or ductwork. could be an electrical issue that you may or may not be able to find with the doors off and trying to locate where the hum is coming from. it may go away when a panel is removed because it night be air sucking through a loose section of the door. the question is vague but I would press around while its running to see if it subsides. as always when its running with the panels off electric shock hazard and arc flash can occur causing bodily injury or death that's why they have the door switch which will cause the unit not to work with the door off. you can tape this switch to test the furnace but be very aware it is done on your own and I cant tell you it is ok to do this if you have no knowledge of electricity and its dangers. this is only for you to possibly find a hum and not press around on electrical components.

Intertherm furnace model # MMHB-070ABHR-06 red light blinks two times

Number of flashes mean different things for diff models. The meanings of those flashes should be posted somewhere on the unit; usually inside front of the bottom service panel. Though you can't truly diagnose a problem by number of flashes they can give you an idea of where to look for a problem. There are a ton of videos and how-to's about furnaces on youtube by real service techs. Most modern furnaces have basically the same set-up and features so don't worry about your paticular brand; but of course that would be the best place to start looking. You could start here to familiarize yourself with your brand of furnace:

Hope this helps.

I have a intertherm furnace and split intherm heat pump when i turn the thermostat on it just seems to hum out side at the heat pump whats the problem

First thing to check is to see if you have electric out there. The hum is probably the 24 volt relay that is telling the a/c to come on. The 24 volt relay gets it's power from the indoor unit.

My Intertherm, electric ignition furnace will hum and hum but not click on. There are two yello flashing lights until we reset it by turning off the gas and turning down the thermostat. The unit resets...

That blinking yellow light is an error code. If you look behind the main cover there will be a wiring diagram and error code chart. This will give you an idea what the problem is.
