I have same problem with mine, the power button turns red (as usual) but no picture. When i turned mine on last night it made a crackle noise and thats how it all started. I can even hear the normal sounds it makes as if it were turning on, but still no picture. Its a great tv I would hate to throw away. I want to fix it myself any help would be appreciated!
This tv have a board call the ballast board to help the projection lamp to ignite.U hear clicking noises mean the ballast board is dead, not doing it job igniting the projection lamp.
Hi,if you hear constant clicking or trying to turn on it could be your ballast. But if tv is between 1 yr -2 yrs maybe its time to replace the lamp. This will be the part number you need 915P061010 you can find it in discount-merchant to get the Philips lamps that normally last 2-4 yrs.God bless. The price will be around $129.99 you can replace it your self just put the part number 915P061010 on youtube and you'll see instructions to replace lamp.
WHAT ISTHAT WHEN MY TV MAKE NOISES THEN STOP FOR AMINUTE ONCE THE PICTURE IS THER THEN 10 MINUTES IS CUTOFF LIKE ITS TRYING TO COME BACK ON WITH THE SAME NOISES
The mainboard might have some loose components, or cold solder , or may
be the filter capacitors are becoming faulty. Yes it is worth
repairing, bring it to the repair shop. Cheers.
