Front Loading Washer - Load Banging During Spin Cycle

I havve a Frigidaire Front Loading Washer and during the spin cycle it makes a really load banging (sounds like it is going to launch!). I had a look at the tub after and it feels somewhat loose and doing a test I tried moving the tub around and it appears that it could possibly be banging the back of the washer and sides. Could it be that the tub may need to be tightened or could it be the belt or shocks? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, your problem is that your shocks are bad and need to be replaced. you can access them by removing the front lower panel. make sure you unplug the washer first. you will see 2 of them on either side of the tub. i belive you can twist the upper portion and then remove the bottom screew and remove the shock. of course before you start you should have the new shocks. and make sure their is no water in the tub.

Frigidaire front loading washer has loud spin cycle, Why?

That's a great question, Roth!

Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire washer is making a loud noise during the spin cycle. This could be an issue with your bel, motor, or tub. In order to find the cause of your noise you may need to disassemble your washer. This is not a simple DIY job and I would recommend contacting a technician to come out. This will help prevent any future issues or personal injuries. -Matt

Frigidare front load washer has loud banging on spin cycle. After much work we reallized one shock was broken of which we repaced both now it still making the loud banging shaking motion. Also the washer...

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. Since the suspension is ok and it is level, check your drive motor and spin bearing. Usually, these are the trouble parts when loud noises are associated with the spinning cycle. Your drive motor controls the spinning. Since the noise is during spinning, that is probably where your problem lies.

Loud banging noise during rinse

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the rinse or spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary. This will solve your problem.

My frigidaire washer FTF2140ES0 won't spin on the spin cycle

Hi there, the same thing is happening with our washer. Did you find a solution to the problem? We found a coin the the black tube, but it still doesn't do the final spin. I can hear the motor trying to do something, but it just won't do the final spin. If anyone has any idea or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I have a load of slopping wet laundry to deal with. :(

Kenmore front load washer #44072 drum banging noise

2 possible issues with your washer.
1 or both the support shocks or springs have broken
the drum would look off center even when empty
or rear bearring has worn out.
this is a very common problem with the fridgidaire washer... (this kenmore is a frigidaire model)
problem is caused by very hard water (well water) or improper use of detergent. this machine uses a High efficency type detergent, marked by "HE" on the detergent container

Washer sounds like off balance during spin

old duets have nut on rear pulley that becomes loose. remove rear panel and tighten nut. check while spinning by hand if pop is felt. if it rotates smoothly then you may need new shocks on tub
