I read your solution to the Zen V Plus screen turning dark problem, and I was wondering if you could post a more detailed description on how to do it, because I got the key plate off, I just couldn't figure out how to take the plate off that is covering the screen. So if you could post a more detailed one, because I want to try it--I just can't get the other plate off. thanks so much!!

You could try reflashing the firmware onto the player. Go to www.creative.com and look for the support section. Search under downloads for firmware for your player and download that. Follow the instructions on the website.

SOURCE: Creative Zen Nano Plus FROZEN!!!
here is a fix if your creative zen nano plus just hang on the creative logo when you turn your player on.
download, Creative ZEN Nano Plus firmware.
you can find it at the creative website, download section.
double click the file you just dl'ed, now make sure your
zen nano player is already connected to your pc when you run the file. it may take a bit of time before your pc can detect your zen nano be patient, a window prompt will soon appear asking if you want to update your firmware with the one youve just dl'ed.
now, dont worry if the firmware is the same as the one already
installed in your zen nano, just continue with the update.
you can also check the box in which there is the option of also formatting the drive. ( note: all files in your zen nano will be lost)
after the firmware is flashed you can now play and transfer files to your zen nano plus.
SOURCE: line in recording procedure
i cant really offer a definitive solution. I just starting playing with my zen and finally figured out how to use the line in recording feature. I also realized that i needed an adapter to plug in the zen to my stereo; luckily my husband has two. I have read how to delete the recordings. I havent tried to use it as of yet; but if i have any trouble i will contact you back. thanks again, new to zen
