Press 1 (the device code digit for your TV). The TV key blinks twice. Aim the remote control at the TV and press POWER once.
Press and release the CH+ key continuously, then stop when the TV turns off.
NOTE: In the searchmode, the remote control sends IR codes fromits library to the selected device, starting with the most popular code first.
Press POWER. The TVshould turn on, then press SET UP to lock in the code.
NOTE: If the TV does not turn on during step 6, then slowly press and release CH- to go back through the codes, then press SET UP when the TV turns on.
The only other option would be to buy a 3rd party remote that is compatible with both devices. Unfortunately there is no way to know if it will actually work until you try it.
I had the same problem. I just bought a philips 47" LCD HDTV and spent two days trying diffrent codes and was very frustrated. The code number i found was "0054" but didnt work. I then put a 1 in front of the first 0 (10054) and was surprised to find it worked. I actually found this tip on this site.
Select sound menu on remote, set BASS to max and then TREBLE to minimum now press the INDEX key on the handset and VOL- on the TV, this should get you into the basic setup menu.
