Epson 7600 won't put down ink

My epson 7600 was working just fine and all of the sudden no ink is coming out onto the paper. It runs like it's printing but doesn't print anything. Any ideas?

SOURCE: Epson R1800 refuses fine art papers

Hi Fruitless, Last night I was tearing my hair out trying to get my R1800 to accept some Hahnemuhle Satin 310, and it was just passing through and passing through. About once in 20 trys it would finally print. I was in the middle of making up my own paper profiles for this lovely paper. Anyway, I gave up at about 1:30 am, and went to bed. Today I resumed my attack, and guess what fella, there is a solution. Pass this on to everyone. You did not say what version of Photo Shop you were using. I just got my CS3 a week ago, and if you are using it, you can open a photo for printing. Go to Printing Preferences Dialog Box, > click on Maintenance Tab, and then click on the Bottom button that is labeled as Printer & Options Information. The Printer and Options Dialog Box opens, and there at the bottom is a box that says Thick Paper right beside it. Select or check this box and enjoy yourself thereafter. I did not see this in the User's Guide, but knew there had to be an answer to this problem somewhere. No problems ever since. Best of luck.

SOURCE: epson stylus C88 won t print color ink black is

If you have carried out 4 to 5 head cleans, waited about 8 hours and done another 3 or head cleans doing nozzle checks after each clean (as recommended by the manual) and there is still no improvement then you will need a third party head cleaning solution such as this one:
http://websites.uk-plc.net/UK_Inkjet_Cartridges_PLUS/products/Print_Head_Cleaner.htm
Other makes & brands are available just google "inkjet head cleaning solution" Hope this helps.

Correct setting for Epson Workforce 7520 printing on gloss paper

You need to start with photo glossy paper that's designed for an Epson printer. HP paper may not work well, and some other papers don't work either. Try some Epson paper, and that should work fine.
You can also try other paper settings, such as "transparency" or "matte paper", as the paper setting governs how much ink is laid down. I think getting the right paper is really what you need, though. Ink "puddling" is a common Epson complaint, and it's almost always the paper.

Fresh ink cartridges won't print at all.

First visit our Epson support page to ensure you covered : http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=1939

Since the Epson PRINTHEAD is not removable, then it is suggested you take a damp cloth and repeatedly blot/saturate the respective color ink port with water (distilled water is recommended):

1. Remove suspect ink cartridge (or cartridges).
2. Place a paper towel under the PRINTHEAD assembly.
3. You'll see a round mesh ink port where ink flows into the PRINTHEAD.
4. Thoroughly dampen the ink port with 0.5 to 1 teaspoon of distilled water (use an eye-dropper or similar, pour or drip directly into ink port).
5. Reinstall ink cartridge(s).
6. Activate the 'Clean Printhead' routine once or twice to see if the respective color(s) have recovered.

My scanner used to work just fine, but suddenly it won't work anymore. It is plugged in and everything, but suddenly in Photoshop, the Xerox 7600 option under File > Import disappeared, and the WIA...

Have you tried an other USB cable??? have you tried a different USB port on the computer??? try the scanner on an other computer as well, does it have POWER???... eazy stepps to troubleshoot all types of devices is to first make sure the device has POWER, than concentrate on connectivity (cables, ports, etc...) than try it on an other computer, re-install drivers as well..., check for viruses also, when everything is clean and it still not working than replace the device... it's dead (send flowers) ha! just kidding!

I cannot find the sub menu on my Epson Stylus pro 7600 printer as I have air in one of the ink lines and i need to re charge it

I'd suggest just performing a cleaning cycle as this will also get rid of air in the ink tubes.

If you realy have a need for it holding down the following buttons at power on enables you to enter the service menu: paper-source + paper-feed-down + cut/eject
just be really careful as you can cause a lot of damage within this menu to your printer.

I refill my epson C60 cartridges and have a chip resetter. Now, the cartridges won't release ink when printing. I get a blank page. The printer recognizes the cartridges. What is causing the blank page?

Put the ink cartridge onto a damp paper towel.
Does ink "bleed" onto the paper towel?
If not, then the print-heads are clogged,
and you should run the "head-cleaning" software (part of the software package for the Epson printer).

Acts like it's printing, ink is good, but nothing prints out on paper.

Nothing at all? Poor you are. The pump may damage or lost electricity.

Epson 7600pro air in ink line

You can try an Initial Fill of your ink carts. It is the next level after attempting to clean the heads. However, if this only temporarily fixes your problem, you could have a leak in the supply tubes, or the head could have failed.

Turn the epson off. Hold down the buttons [Paper Feed δ]+[Paper Feed ∇]+[Cut/Eject] and turn on the printer. This will take you into a hidden service menu. Hit the [Paper Feed ∇] button until you get to "Cleaning" then hit the [Select] button to enter that submenu. Hit the [Paper Feed ∇] again until you see "Init Fill", and then hit the [enter] button. The display will say "charging". Just wait until it is done, then turn the printer off and back on.
If you do not have enough ink in the in the carts you will be prompted to replace them. The same goes for the maintenance tank. Make sure you put the ink lever back in the lock position if you change the carts. (It will not give you an error about the ink lever being down, it just won't do anything.)

Epson Pro 7600 Service required error

You need to be able to clear the counters in the printer that tell the printer to stop working.
In order to do that you must

1. Turn printer off
2. you must hold down the "Paper Source, Paper Feed, Select Feed, Cut/Eject" buttons all at the sime time while you turn the printer back on.
3. From there navigate through the menues to clear the counter that pertains to you or all.
(Error 00000101 is pertains to the print head motor)

Word of warning -
Those counters can be a pain as they cause the printer to stop working however you do need to get your printer serviced by a tech as soon as you can because the error is a warning, reset the counters lets you finsih a job, but if it goes unserviced too long it will actually break down all togther.

So even after you rest the counters you absolutly must get your printer serviced soon.
