It depands if you watch say 5 hours a night times 7 nights 35 hours a week times 52 weeks a year. you be suprise.

IF LCD TV has vertical lines try cleaning T-con board to lcd panel cable or replaced t-con board

1. Frist on the BURN MODE.
2. Check whether same
Vertical lines on screen ?? 3. If yes ..?
4. Then change the LOGIC BOARD or PDP

probably the cable box, scrolling bars are a clasic sign of this

I have 2 horizontal lines that roll up my screen about a foot apart
i have had 2 different tv repair men tell me it is a CABLE GROUNDING problem
you should call the cable company (if you have regular cable) and supposedly they are aware of this type of problem and can install a filter at the main cable in box and hopefully this will work for you

My 42" Samsung Plasma HDTV HP-R4252 has a 2" vertical strip of green pixels down the right side of the screen.

My 3 year warranty with Circuit City expires in Nov 2008.. so I hope I'm covered.. can't call until the morning.

Samsung said it might be a logic board problem.. but they want almost $2000 to fix. I might as well buy another TV if Circuit City can't fix it.

I had the same problem and HP has been very helpful, try calling this number 877-917-4380 ext. 79 and be firm tell them this needs to be fixed. They are sending my second replacement part and said they will keep sending parts till it works, this tv is almost 3 years old.

Just to update this issue, HP has now agreed to replace my plasma free of charge, they dont know how to fix it and after a couple of tries they gave up and I'll get my new one next Friday. For all of those trying , keep trying and don't give up, don't take no for an answer. Call HP with the number listed and let them have a piece of your mind, you will get results.

My maxent 42" has green and red flashing pixels all across the screen, what is the problem?
