Hello you can download the manual, and drivers here:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=1810#manual

You can add a graphic card 1 x AGP slot (8x/4x-AGP 3.0 compliant), supports 1.5v display card only.
And Max capacity: Up to 2GB DDR400 RAM by 2 DIMM slots.

ATI/AMD makes very good graphic cards.

Adding a graphic card on the mainboard will not slow the physical memory. It has it`s own ram.

Good luck

Perhaps your power supply is not powerful enough for the new card.

SOURCE: Can Gigabyte GA-8I945PLGE-RH supports 4gb ram?

Sorry, but at the moment you can't do that. This is because the BIOS is programmed to manage only 2GB memory. I searched for BIOS upgrade to resolve the memory issue but with no luck. At the moment your motherboard supports only 2 GB RAM.
