Problem occur after i install window 7 ultimate 64 bits. Diagnostic test shows error 0146(hard drive) and error 0147(DVD drive), there is no lost data and dvd drive is able to run a disc. But the one and only problem is computer automatically shutdown. The computer could run for whole week without the problem, but once the computer shutdown without any warning, it happen again when i try to on back the computer. again and again.....
Methinks your drive could use a fitness check

The 2000-0146 error code indicates a read/write failure of the hard drive. There is at least 1 sector that is failing on the drive. While it is working at the moment, the drive is failing and will over time degrade and eventually fail completely. Backup any important data, then replace the drive.

You need to take it in for warranty service. The hard drive and possibly motherboard have failed.

get yourself a 2.5 hard drive box (no hard drive in it) costs less than a tenner on ebay. Remove hard drive from current laptop, put it in box, connect to another laptop via usb provided and you will be able to read from it like it's a flash drive or cd. Then just copy files you need to other laptop or CD. No damage done to original hard drive. Put your hard drive back into laptop.
This part, am just taking a guess at but then see if you can do a system restore to a date previous to problems ie when you updated in case it was the update that caused the problem. If you had XP disk and ID number you could try a repair or a reinstall but that is pretty drastic. No way should you need a new computer
Let me know how you get on. IF you don't know what I mean by the HD box, just shout and I will be more specific
Good luck

It appears your hard disk has died and it may not be possible for you to retrieve your data.
Remove your hard drive from the laptop and insert it into an USB harddrive adapter, (they are not expensive and you can use it later as a external hard drive). Then plug it into the USB port of a working computer. The computer should/may see it as an external drive, if you are lucky you will be able to copy your data, if not, you are out of luck.
There are companies that can recover data from faulty hard drives, but it will cost you an arm and a leg for their service.

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive
Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA
the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd have secure connections and are not faulty even the electic extensions or just replace them they are probably faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error hope this helps
