Further to the previous response of checking for bent fuel lines. It sounds like the breather is faulty, this is integrated in the fuel cap, as you screw it down the rubber/cork gasket makes a tight seal preventing spillage but the breather allows for neutral pressure inside the tank, with fuel being sucked out it creates a negative pressure in the tank or a vacuum causing the engine to be starved of fuel as it can't draw more fuel. Check the cap for dirt or grime and possibly give it a good rinse in benzine before trying again, otherwise try and get a replacement cap. Hope this helps.

Check the fuel tank for any vent lines or ports. Make sure they are all clear of dust and dirt.

As I've lost Operating manual for this Blower, could you advise if it is a "2/stroke" mixture, i.e. what petrol/oil mix is required

If its a hand held Vac/Blower then I don't know of any that aren't 2 stroke.

Your part number isn't much help, you're welcome to post a picture of it. As I say, if its handheld and petrol then it will be a 2 stroke. Mix ratio is generally 50:1 That's 100ml of oil in 5L of petrol. Some manufacturers use a ratio of 40:1 which if used in the wrong machine can seize the engine, doing more damage, so stick to the 50:1 ratio to be on the safe side.

Won't stay running

The biggest problem with any petrol/petroil equipment is the gae of the fuel.
petrol is hrgoscopic, when means that it tends to attract moisture. The biggest problem with petroil equipment is usually where the fuel tank is not drained after use, so when you come to use it the tank apears empty as the petrol has evaporated leaving only the oil which blocks the carburettor and gives a doubly rich mixture. Water in the fuel is usually easy to analyseas when running the equipment will have a really uneven tickover, sort of accelerating and then decellerating as if it's running out of fuel.
As an earlier blog, drain the tank, wash it out, spray quick start into the air intake and she should start and remeber when finished empty the petrol tank into a container specifically for two stroke.

What is the fuel mixture?

hi there
pfrolander

the ratio of oil to petrol you should use is 50:1 ( that is 20 mils of hi quality 2 stroke oil per 1.0 litre of petrol you mix ) using hi quality sthil / husqvarna 2 stroke oil

1000 divided by 50 = 20 mils of oil per 1.0 litre of petrol

NOTE if you do not have any hi quality 2 stroke but some from your local garage ( that you may use in say a scooter for example use 40 mils of oil per litre it is richer

this will do the job

cheers hope it helps

We should fill honda activa tank with mobile oil or without mobile oil

I i am not wrong you are asking about adding oil to the petrol tank. you should not add oil in petrol tank for any 4 stroke engines yours is 4 stroke. engine oil will act as a lubricant to the piston. No need to add oil with petrol for Honda Activa.

I have a Honda 4 stroke trimmer (UMK431) that starts on 1-2 pulls and runs great for about 10 minutes then sputters and stops. I have to wait a while to start it again. What might be wrong? I did a full...

My Honda 4stroke Brush Cutter has the same symptoms.
It is caused by the petrol cap not `breathing` properly
.A vacuum forms in the petrol tank when the petrol is consumed and stops the fuel being pumped to the carburettor.
A simple remedy is to loosen the petrol cap momentarily when the engine falters.
Yes ,I know I should be fixing the cap `Breathing`ability....but that's for another day.

What kind of oil do you put in petrol vacuum

if vacuum is a 2 stroke engine it is possible to buy ready mixed if you have a compartment extra for oil, then use regular engine oil.

The engine revs high then low.

There is a way to remove fuel filter although I don't know if you can clean you might have to replace it. Other reasons for high and low revving could be that the carb might be adjusted correctly.

Ryobi RBL30MVA petrol blower problem

if this is a brand new I would ask is the gas oil mixture fresh and of the proper ratio. most use 40-1
if this is not brand new look and see if the muffler could be clogged up. a common problem is the spark arrestor screen gets clogged up with carbon deposits.
