I need to replace the rubber gastket part of the door on a front loading Indesit WIA 101 washing machine (Italian model). The gasket was damaged and has a big slash right in the middle. As a result, the door leaks during washing. I cannot find a replacement part, ANYWHERE! I would be most grateful if you could please help me....

HI, Check back of washe with a flashlight for a bent or clogged drain hose. Do not move washer to check it. When you move it , it will straighten out and you will never know if it was bent Also while it is pumping , pick up end of drain hose at drain and observe the volume of water being pumped. At first thought it was door lock mechanism was at fault but proved it to be ok - removed rubber 'boot' which on this model was on two stretchable spring retainers and checked operation of door lock.
Thought door hinges may have been bent so dismantled door, finding the problem to be the pin that the door latch pivots on had come out on one side so not lining up properly. This was easily pushed back into position.

door lock is just held in by 2 screws from the outside and will come away when these are undone. on some models, there is also a small diameter pipe going to the door lock and take this off. note where wires go before removing them
