I have Compaq presario c700 notebook series and currently running windows 7 . My webcam is not working as there is no webcam driver. No imaging devices category is shown in device manager and nothing happens after doing scanning for hardware changes. It was working when i purchased it with windows xp, after upgrading it fails to download webcam driver. So please provide the webcam drivers for : Product name- Presario C700 Product Number- FF370PA#ACJ It is because i din't received any drivers disc with it.
Was the computer connected to the Internet with a LAN cable when you installed Windows 7. During the Windows 7 installation Windows will automatically find and download the drivers.
The HP/Compaq WEB site may have a WEBcam driver for your model laptop.
If all else fails then try installing Windows 7 again and make sure the laptop is connected to the Internet before you start the installation.

Hi - Make sure you have Service pack 2 installed. If not, download and install. Then follow these directions.
1. Click START
2. Click RUN
3. Type “devmgmt.msc” in the prompt and click “OK”
4. In other devices>> right click Audio Device on ……..
5. Click “update driver”
6. Select “No, not this time” and Click “Next”
7. Select “Install from a list or specific loccation(Advanced)” and Click “Next”
8. Select “Don`t search. I will choose” and Click “Next”
9. From the list sroll down and select “Sound, video and game controller” and Click next
10. Click “Have Disk..”
11. Click “Browse” and choose this folder
12. Select the “/XP32/WiSVHe5′ file and Click “Open”
13. Click “OK”
14. Click “Next”
15. A menu appears saying “Installing …. Do you want to continue?” Click “YES”
16. Click “Continue Anyway”

@Chris Hingee No nothing happens, I followed the steps u suggested but all in vain.
Still no webcam driver, no imaging devices, don't say any physical injury to webcam.
