Same issue. Nintendo have "repaired" it twice now but the problem remains.

Going to give them one last time to try and fix it.

My ds lite wont turn on but it charges fine

if your ds is about 2 years old, it's probably time to change the battery. even though the battery is rechargeable, it wont hold a charge as it gets older. no matter how long you keep it on the charger, the battery is truly dead and it wont turn on. if anything, replace the battery. if your ds is brand spanking new, then you probably didn't leave it on the charger long enough to begin with.

hope this helped

It wont turn no matter how long i charge it

does the orange light flash of a few seconds after you plug it in? If it does, I think that it is a battery problem. After a lot of charges, the battery's capacity decreases. If the orange light just flashes, I would try a new battery http://www.nintendorepairshop.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=191&cat=Nintendo+DS+Lite+Batteries for ds lite battery or http://www.nintendorepairshop.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=188&cat=Nintendo+DS+Batteries for a ds battery (both $8)

NINTENDO DS LITE WON'T CHARGE OR POWER ON

Each time you charge your battery, the charge capacity is decreased. After a large amount of charges, the capacity is decreased to an amount only enough to turn on a/the screen(s) for a second. Try getting a new battery.

Nintendo ds will not come on

it does have a battery yes - on the back there is a screw which opens the battery compartment. the battery is the same sort as a mobile phone uses and you can buy new ones easily (search "DS Battery" on google or ebay).

I doubt the battery is the problem here because I assume the DS wont turn on even when plugged in (it would if the battery was dead) but I guess it cant hurt to try??

Nintendo ds lite

It's not likely to be battery, but fracture in ribbon cable to top screen causing this. Both screens must be connected or you get the symptom you've explained.
