Camera will not focus

I am not sure if this is the right solution. If you mean the focus is constantly changing while shooting in video mode, you have to change your settings to something other than tracking and auto focus. When these menus are selected, the camera constantly adjust it's lens to maintain the subject in focus. If the subject moves, the camera re-adjust again and that usually records the blurred moments in the video.

Try these procedures.

you can try to adjust your diopter. put camera in auto focus then focus on something. then adjust your diopter until it is clear.

Your autofocus may need to be re calibrated-- this is not something you can do on your own, but it is something that could be done at a local camera repair shop. Take it in and see if they would be able to adjust it or give you an estimate.

1. Power-Cycle your AVerVision Document Camera to reset the focus motor.
2. If your Camera has Auto focus, Press the auto focus button on your document camera's control panel.
3. Reset your camera to Default by Pressing MENU > Default > Yes > Enter. Then Power-Cycle your camera.
4. Check your output device's focus adjustment.
5. Power-Cycle your AVerVision Document Camera to reset the focus motor.
6. If Manual Focus adjustment is available on your camera's remote control, try adjusting back to focal point from the remote.
7. If your camera has a Manual focus knob, manually adjust the focus by turning the focus knob located on the camera head.

Adjust view finder focus as you will see setting there, to view correct focus in view finder itself.
Camera is just fine because it is taking good focus pictures.

the bezel on the cam might change the focal point(focus) try GENTLY ROTATING IN EITHER DIRECTION

BEZEL IS THE LITTLE RING JUST OUTSIDE THE LENS

Next to the viewfinder ther is a diopter adjustment so you can change the focus in the viewfinder. this is so if you need glasses the camera can be set for you. Start by focusing the camera on something, then slide to turn the diopter adjustment until it looks sharp and try not to bump it.

there is something wrong with the zoom and focus electronics, mine won't focus in wide angle, it's permently focused on 3x zoom.

Use the diopter adjustment to refocus the viewfinder to your eye.

Point the camera at a sign or something with writing on and half press the shutter button to focus then move the little adjuster at the top right of the viewfinder until the image in the veiwfinder is in focus
