My husband was turning off our TV last night and doesn't know which buttons he pushed. Now we keep getting the error, "channel not available" and the TV power is on, but there is no reception. Thanks in advance for your help.

The blue screen means the processor of the tv no longer finishes the loading of the firmware - hardware fault, either the chip that stores the firmware or the processor have failed.
Since the chips are soldered on the mainboard and cannot be removed separately that means that the entire mainboard will have to be replaced. This is it

Now you must decide if it's worth paying $400 for a replacement board or it's better just to buy a new tv - i'm for the second option.

Voltages sometime increase/decrease during power outages. This mainly afftects the power supply of a lot of electronics equipment.
1. Check the fuse.
2. Check primary components like; Bridge rectifier, filter cap, switching components etc.
3. Check secondary (cold) side once you isolate the primary side to be ok.
Please consult a professional technician if you are not skilled in electronics repairing.
All the best

Thanks for your suggestions. I just spent 2 minutes with the Sharp remote and fixed it. Somehow it looks like the husband changed the input from channel 6 to something else. All I did was go in - press reset - then set input to channel 6 and voila!!!! Thanks again.
