Its called a micro-switch and they are fairly generic--look for a parts set similar to yours. If you need the actual plastic button array try Toshiba who might still have it.

SOURCE: Blinking power button

You likely have bad convergence output IC's that have caused one of the supply fuses to blow. This repair will have to be performed by a qualified technician. If you were in our area and has us repair this the total cost of the repair would be about $340 if I am correct about the cause of your problem.

SOURCE: Television Problem

I have just run into the same thing, prior to the picture not coming on there was a loud whining noise, I thought it was the fan in the back, but, what I tried was removing the lower back panel, LIGHTLY tapping the light wheel assembly just left of the Bulb housing, and using a shop vac to first, **** the assembly around the edges and then reversing the air and Blowing it out. After much dust and dirt flying around the TV came on. It now only makes a little noise now and then, but, I will try this again today and then put the back panel back on. Since it would probably cost as much as a new TV for the color wheel, I gave this a try. For now, it is working.

ok first put the back back on and all screws back in unit. The bulb is located on the front of this TV. Now on the back of the unit on each side there is 1 plastic straight head screw on each side of the back of the tv turn these and on the front where the power button is thats a panel that pulls off the bulb is right behind that panel u have to unscrew to phillips screws on bulb case and it pulls right out, the front panel sometimes takes a good little tug to pop it loose just make sure those plastic screws on each side right on the back of tv are loose first. I have a 42inch Toshiba Rear Projection television, my son got water on the screen and it has leaked into the screen behind the flimsy plastic front screen. How can i take off the front panel to clean the...

WELL YOU MIGHT HAVE TO SEPARATE THE 2 PIECE SCREEN. CAREFULLY TRIMMING THE TAPE ALONG THE EDGES. WIPE WITH A CLEAN CLOTH IN THE DIRECTION OF THE GROVES. UP AND DOWN ON THE FRONT-LENTICULAR LENS. AND IN CONCENTRIC CIRCLES ON THE FRESNEL LENS. TAKING THE SCREEN OFF IS EASY. REMOVE THE SPEAKER GRILL AND YOU WILL SEE THE SCREWS HOLDING IT ON.

Turns on and off then back on then off

Discovered bulb had blown out.
At power on button, red light and green light flashed and no picture was present. I opened side panel after unplugging tv and let the bulb housing cool, then removed the bulb and discovered it had blown. Luckily I had a replacement bulb from the purchase, replaced it and it worked again.

We are trying to change projector lamb on a soy 42 inch LCD tv. we could not find the place where it should be plugged. thank you

The reason why this tv it doesn't looks as having a lamp cover is because has a front panel first to deal with. identify first this one to release it:

the front cover is easy to identify because is big and the power button at the center identify this big part. this big plastic 10 inches width and it is large as the tv all the way east to west in the bottom of the set. It is attach to the set with two screws. this two screws are find in the extreme of this front cover but in the back side. They looks as gray dimes (coins) actually you can use one dime to unscrew them. Ready!
  • when the screws are release (not all the way out just release) is not the only thing attaching it to the body
  • note: Sony Co. in this front cover thought to clip it with three 1 inch diameter clips you can locate them with great deal of imagination: The location of them is this: if you trace an imagine line: trace it starting on the power button as center but something as 30 inches left and another 30 inches right outside + another immediately down but this time vertical line down as 3 inches down,
  • "this is half of the job"
  • releasing this front cover is hard and kind of puzzle because you take the front cover from top side towards you (watch your fingers is really hard to make this operation you need a strong fingers) note: the bottom is trapped with another inner plastic obstruction. Now with this clips in your mind try to release this clips (this clips make a weird sound when are release something as you already broke the panel. don't panic)
  • Until here the panel was release and in your hands put a side.
the lamp is covered with little door 3 inches square left side of the power button called lamp cover. use again your dime to release this last screw holding the lamp cover. inside you find the lamp.
