thanks, I did try that and most came up really bad.
but I pick the best and continued, then when the print out of the black line to see if they are straight were all the same distance off
so I had no Idea which to pick.

I just put new ink in , I use my printer alot. it was printing fine, then just started printing all off set after a sheet did not get pulled all the way through

  • Vickster91 Feb 18, 2008

I have the canon i850 and all of a sudden the print quality is bad. I have done a regular and deep cleaning, repeatedly, but to no avail. The problem comes in when I try to align it. The colors work fine, but the black - none of the choices are clear - they are ALL askew. Please help!

Moski, When trying to align the printer you get a sheet of numbered lines. You want to choose the center most selection that your eyes see as straight lines. Whether they are horizontal or vertical it wants you to tell it which lines look the straightest. From there it will set itself up for proper printing. Tim

Have you replaced the ink lately? The cartridge may be empty ot the head may be clogged. Try running the head cleaner then try to align again.

Yep that'll do it!!! I don't know if you want to try this..but what if you fed the paper through the printer, stopped the printing, and pulled the paper out the opposite way you removed the paper the first time? Who knows? it may move the heads back from where they came.

Open "properties", on the bottom you will see "printing preferences". Try changing the print quality to "high" or adjust the color intensity manually- there are 2 options, "auto" and "manual". Check the "manual" and adjust it.

Please try to uninstall and reinstall your printer.

Clean your printer heads.

Perform a hard reset to your printer.

Print a test page.

Try using a different bond paper.

Make sure you are using original canon cartridge

If still you get an error. Replace your printer heads.

Printer is printing stripes instead of a solid color

Try going to your Control Panel, choose Printers, choose Canon Inkjet and then choose Properties. Then choose Maintenance and then either Nozzle Check or Printhead Alignment. One of these might solve your problem.

Red color faded and red color is mis-aligned.

Hi We've been seeing alot of the HP Color Laserjet range of laser printers coming through with a "prints lightly with red" or "red is faded" fault report, we've been able to resolve the problem mostly by cleaning the scanner. Misalignment is normally resolved therafter by calibrating the machine using its calibration function. (if it has one) Wouldnt suggest this gets tried unless one is familiar with stripping and reassembling these machines though. Hope this helps.

Canon i850 printer is printing striped colors

HTML clipboardIf you have lots of flashing error lights or electrical problems then it is likely to be electrical.

However, if like most... and your printer has just been left unused for some time?

Then provided it worked OK before a period of non-use? You just need to use a PRINT HEAD CLEANING KIT to unclog the tiny jets.
A Magic Inkjet Flush Kit usually works a treat on those!

Magic is ideal for unclogging the tiny jets on any Canon, Epson HP and removing those horrible white lines which usually appear in prints when dried ink clogs several jets...

So if yours appears to be a clog? all you should need to do is to use the Magic Inkjet Flush kit to soak the print head and you should be printing again like new.

You are covered by a 30 day money back guarantee if not.

Good Luck!
