I have just changed batteris and tried to take photos, my camera has started taking pictures no matter which button i press. wWatever you touch on the camera(menu or funcor zoom buttons) camera takes pictures.I am unable to see any of the photos since it seems that all the functions are stalled. I can get the photos using computer software. I wonder what is wrong with camera. Did anybody exprience this before?

This model has had problems with the switch block assembly. The shutter control is a two stage switch which gets stuck and attempts to fire the shutter when the camera is powered on. This is not a very serious problem and is easily resolved by a qualified technician. Replacing the switch block takes a bit of skill and should be done by a Canon service facility. Good Luck my friend Joe Weibel customelectronics.org

No image is available to view on the lcd screen canon ixus85is

Click the "disp" button. The display of the camera has been turned off in the LCD screen but you can still use the viewfinder, this functionality is just for those who prefer to use the viewfinder instead of the LCD screen.

Cannon SD 750 - when i try to take a picture a black screen appe

Think that you accidentally pressed the DISP or DISPLAY button on the back of your camera. This manually turns the LCD display on and off to save batteries. You would then use the optical viewfinder in its place. To turn the screen back on, just press the DISP button one more time.

Cannon G6 - Picture shows as portrait not landscape

Sounds like an oversensitive autorotate sensor. Recommend holding the camera very steady when taking a picture. If it still acts up, recommend just turning the sensor off, as you can use just about any photo editing software to rotate your photos if desired.

Press the Menu button, find and select the "Setup" menu, go down the list to find the "Autorotate" selection to turn it on/off.
