A piece of paper jammed in the machine which I extracted, but now I get the error message "The following printhead(s) has a problem: black/yellow. Can't get it to go away and don't know what to do. Help!
When you removed the paper it's possible your damaged it and that's why the message is not going away. Did you try to put the cartridge back in to make sure it had not come out of position and just remove the power cord for a minute then plugging it back it.
Here are the steps to make sure you properly change the cartridges and the heads...
Install the ink cartridges and printheads
Step one: Install the ink cartridges
All four ink cartridges must be correctly installed for the HP All-in-One to work.
Follow the steps below to Install cartridges:
Figure 1: Installing cartridges
1 - Open the ink cartridge cover.
2 - Remove the ink cartridges from the packages.
3 - Install the ink cartridges.
4 - Close the ink cartridge cover.
Step two: Install the printheads
Follow the steps below to install the printheads.
Step three: Align the print heads
Whenever you insert or replace a printhead, the printer automatically aligns the printheads to ensure the best print quality. If the printer does not print the alignment page automatically, start the alignment process manually. To start the alignment process manually:
How to change the print heads on the HP all in one 7780
Call HP. Stay on the phone for about an hour. Try their solutions. After that they will replace the printer.
May sound awful, but if you put a paper towel or two between your mouth and the printer head (where the link comes out) and **** it will work. Will bet money on this! Let me know if this works 4 u

I was setting up my brand new HP 7380. It printed the first test pages ok and then when I went to print something else I got a paper jam which I cleared and then got the same error message "printhead problem with black/yellow. I removed the printhead and put it back in pressing firmly etc and then I got the same message only now the magenta/cyan has the same problem. When I look at the status of the printheads they are both showing a red dot. It won't clean or align or do anything at all! Also tried turning if off and unplugging power. To no avail.

I've replaced all of the cartridges correctly and it still says that my M/C printhead has a problem. How often do these need to be changed?
