Intel EXPI931CTBLK Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter Card - PCIe Network Adapter - Cannot find file

During the automatic installation I get a window asking for a file "e1q5132.sys" on the Intel Pro/1000 driver disk, this is my old onboard ethernet, I have been checking resource disks that came with the pc and I even downloaded the file off a website using my laptop and transfered it over onto my pc but no luck.

How do i enable wireless connection in my emachine model el1358g

The Emachines EL1358 has a wired LAN connection. To add a wireless connection, you need an USB wireless network adapter or an add-on wireless network adapter card. The internal card options may depend on exactly which EL1385 model you have. The EL1385G-51W has a PCIe x16 and a PCIe x1 slot. The card will probably need a low-profile bracket to fit in the case. (If both slots are in use, you'd need to remove one of the cards and replace it with the wireless adapter.) See https://www.manualslib.com/manual/391363/Emachines-El1358.html for information on adding a card to the desktop.

Check that the card has a driver for your machine's OS version. (The EL1358 came with Windows 7. Windows 10 x64 requires signed drivers, if you upgraded to that OS version.) Follow the directions for the wireless adapter to determine if you need to install the drivers before connecting the USB adapter or installing the card. If there is no CD or USB flash drive with the adapter packaging, you will need to either download the driver files at another computer or use the wired LAN connection to obtain the drivers. (Use the wired LAN to connect to your WAN or router to obtain the drivers if they come from Windows.)

Once the drivers are installed, then you can enable the wireless connection. For several versions of Windows, go to the Control Panel. Find the section on Networking. Choose Connect to a Network. See if your wireless network SSID is listed. If needed, go to the Network and Sharing Center. Then find and click on the link for Set up a new network connection. You may need to Manually connect to a wireless network if the SSID of the wireless network is not being broadcast.

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(note: slight differences exist in the placement of the network control panel options between Windows versions. I usually can find which one I want but have to poke around at times.)

X550 ncomputing pci card every thing ok but no active clint devices

10G Network Card High Quality Intel X550 PCI Dual RJ45 Ports 10G NIC maybe?
You mean that you installed the drivers and that it sees the adapter itself, but that you can't see any other devices in the network?
This probably is because you have it set on forced 10 GigaBit, while the rest of the devices in the network are normal 1GigaBit. Go to device settings in windows and select auto negotiation in the software for the communication speed.

I have an HP 6200 pro desktop that I am having trouble finding the correct drivers for the 82579LM Gigabit network Ethernet connection. Can you Help?

what you need to know is what operating system does the hp 6200 pro desktop run on ?
from the specs on the hp 6200 pro desktop
it might be
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 32-bit

Then download the correct driver for the operating system you are using
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/47549/Intel-82579-Gigabit-Ethernet-Controller
and then either run the download or point the update driver to the folder the driver is downloaded into .
Depends on the type of driver you download as to whether it installs itself or has to be added via updating the driver and pointing to its location after it copies its extracted files if it is compressed.

I have a g5690 shuttle and would like to install a wireless card to connect to our home wireless network. What shoeld I buy?

My suggestion would be a mini-pcie laptop card, N300 or higher (you can buy them on Amazon and Ebay for around 25 dollars, Azureware or Intel are usually good) and a low-profile mini-pcie to pcie adapter which comes with antenna. I think my network card is bad. My internet / email isn't working on my desktop (although it works fine on my laptop). And the computer is not recognizing anything when I type ipconfig. So, i think i need...

since the network card is built onto the motherboard reinstalling the driver would be the best first option.

HERE is the link to the driver.
Broadcom827.exe - Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet driver Version: 8.27.1.0
Supports: Windows XP
Note: This is the Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet driver for use with the Big Lake, Cortez, and Putton Bay motherboards in Windows XP.

I would try that first.

Time warndr says slow connection caused by faulty network card. OEM card part of motherboard. What do I need to buy?

3ee04e0.jpg
Your motherboard in this PC has two PCI cards, and one PCI express card. You may have one of these free to install an Ethernet card. If the PCI express slot is open, it is your first choice. The ethernet cards are labeled PCIe. There are many brands to choose from. Your system is using an Intel based LAN card.
Tiger Direct sells a PCIe Ethernet card for $49 made by DLink and a Trendnet PCI card for as little as 7.99. I have used both brands and they work well. The PCIe is faster.
