Philips tv digital disappeared

Digital channel has been replaced by blue screen. Cannot retune the channels back as nothing happens when hit digital menu button on remote other than blue light in left corner of tv flickers (as it does whenever the remote is pressed). The digital channels are still viewable through the vcr channel.

SOURCE: digital channels have stopped working, only blue screen!

Try resetting the TV:

  1. Switch on TV and switch to any analogue channel.
  2. On the TV: Press and hold the MENU button.
  3. Menu screen will appear on the display.
  4. Do not release the MENU until the menu screen disappears.
  5. TV will go blank for about 60 seconds and then display initial set up screen.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to re-tune the TV.
If this does not work then the problem is likely to be a loose ribbon cable or main small signals board inside the TV.

Digital channels seems to have disappeared from tv

The broadcasters love to mess about with the stations moving them around etc. You should retune the TV from scratch. Sometimes on oldler models you have to use the manual retune to get some channels back.

JVC LT22HD32J DIGITAL TV WONT HOLD CHANNELS AFTER RETUNE

It's October 2012 and I have a problem with my exact same model of JVC TV which has worked fine since i bought it in January. In fact it has worked the best out of the four that we have in the house working off the same aerial until 4 days ago. I tried retuneing and then the problem expanded to more channels. I tried to reset to factory options and then do a retune but lost all the channels. I have again reset and retuned and I'm back with channels that I can only tune into for between 4 and 15 seconds before the screen goes blank. None of the other televisions are affected. Digital UK website show no works to transmitters in our area and JVC are impossible to contact. Their site sends one around in circles in a most frustrating and unhelpful way. I will not be buying JVC again. Any help offered would be gratefully accepted!

We bought an LG flatscreen TV and a digital...

it's the aerial, tv has nothing to do with channels. it's the signal that carries the channels. i'm pretty sure if you had it hooked up to a cable box, you'll get all the channels, so i'm sure your tv is fine. i would double check on the aerial and positioning the attenna has some factor into it.

My sony bravia digital channels always drop out of signal. Sometimes a channel has no signal for a couple of weeks. Could that be a fault with the tv?

For tuner problems, especially the digital channels, you should check for a TV firmware update at www.sonystyle.com. I was having some strange loss of digital channels on our 40" Bravia, starting with channels only appearing for a second before the screen produced a 'No Signal' message. After we tried the automatic retuning, then we could not even get the one second signal. None of this appeared on the description of the download. However, we downloaded the patch to our PC, loaded the file (19 MB) onto a small flash drive, which we then used to upgrade the firmware in the TV. All our digital tuner problems disappeared!!

No digital yet tried to retune but greyed out.

Just got through to Samsung support. Turns out the freeview card had frozen and needed a reset. To do this put tv on standby. then press in serries these buttons on the remote: 'info' 'menu' 'mute' 'power' TV will then turn on with a default screen. Press 'arrow down' button untill you reach option 12 'reset' . then push the 'right arrow' and tv will reset and start in plug and play mode and commence a scan when you've set the time. Just retuned mine and its back to normal. Hoorah!!! :-)

Digital tuning is failing

The retuning process is as follows:

  1. Press the [i+] or MENU button on the remote control to display the DIGITAL INFO menu.
  2. Press the BLUE button to display the MAIN MENU.
  3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to highlight AUTO TUNING then press the OK button to display the AUTO TUNING MENU.
  4. Press the RED button to start the auto tuning process for all available digital channels.
  5. Wait for the process to complete.

If you wish to CANCEL the auto tuning process whilst it is processing then press the BLUE button at any time.

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information

http://www.freeview.co.uk/_retuneinfo/

If the above process does not work then check the link above for additional information and also visit the accompanying site links below to find more information for your model of TV / FREEVIEW box.
