Sony Fd Trinitron KV-32FX68E, stanby led blinks twice

I have a tv sony fd trinitron model KV-32FX68E 32''. When i swich it on, there is no picture or sound(black screen) and the the stanby led blinks twice continously. As i read somewhere, perharps there is a problem with the power supply. Is that right and what can i do ? Can i fix it by myself or i should send it for service? For the seconf option, is it worth to fix it or to buy a new one?

Our Sony, wide screen, trinitron model number kv-h34hs420 tuns on then off and the stand by/timer ( red) light blinks 6 times

Comes on and later goes blank
How much later? The Sony sets have a setting in the menu that turnes the TV off if there isnt' any input, Sometimes this feature gets messed up, and the feature has to be turned off, Check that out and see if that takes care of the problem.

Un plug and let stand for one minute. If it still does blink then use the reset on the remote and press it while pressing the power button on the TV.
