Can my Sharp TV (LC52D64U) remote control my Comcast cable box? What's the code?
I had the same problem with my remote. I would enter the code and there would be no response from the remote. I looked up the manual for the other comcast remote and the codes are 5 digits instead of 4. Try codes 10093 or 11602. The reason why there is no response from your remote is because it is waiting for you to enter the last digit of the code. Hope this helps.
I just bought a new Sharp Aquos and reprogrammed my Comcast remote to accept Sharps code number 0093. Here's a link to the procedure: http://www.comcast.com/MediaLibrary/1/2/CM/VanityURL/documents/comcast_dvr_remote_manual.pdf
It is best most of the time to use the comcast remote to control the tv because it is harder to program the newer cable boxes and the comcast remote gets most of the tv codes better

Although TBlessed1 is partially correct, the Comcast Universal 3 remote will not work the Sharp Aquos line of TVs. Even the Program 991 feature will not locate the correct code. This is especially frustrating having a 65 in flatscreen and such a petty problem. We might have to look into the more expensive all-in-one remotes. I will contact Comcast Tech support first though...
rmach111,
Thanks, I have tried this before. Code 0093 doesn't work, in fact this is what's happening. I press "TV", then I hold down "Setup" until the light blinks twice. I then enter a code such as "0093". The remote is now supposed to blink if it accepts the code or display a long blink if it's wrong. I don't get either short blinks or a long blink...nothing. A problem with the remote?
