Officejet 6500 wireless has stopped printing any color. Catridges are HP brand, new and full (and have been replaced twice due to trying "clean printhead" several times to solve issue). Have also tried "reset" - including unplug, #3. I am at a loss. Any suggestions??
Send the cartridges back! HP cartridges are coded and will only work with HP printers. Hp has had problems with their coded cartridges. Especially if they were manufactured overseas. Their own product won't recognize the cartridges. It is not the printer it is the cartridges.

1.Try placing sheet of Magenta print on copy board, and run many copies . Run head clean after about each 50 sheets.

At first my black wouldn't print. I cleaned the print head, replaced the cartridge and black will not print. Now, to test the other colors I tried to copy an article with color photos and it's all blurry as well.
I receive no error messages and would hate to spend $70 on a new print head when this may not be the problem.

Hi,
The following may work: remove all the ink supplies. Remove the printhead and soak it for about 5 minutes in 0.5" of very hot water. Gently blot the printhead on a soft damp paper towel to remove the excess water, then replace in the printer and then reinstall the ink supplies.
You can now replace the catridge into position but in most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down during this maintenance . So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken . Sometimes it is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the PC command or can be an issue with ink drying or poor ink cartridge contacts.
