Whirlpool dishwasher leaks everywhere

Hi....this may sound stupid but..... I had to replace the inlet elbow because after about five years it finally sprung a leak at the elbow. I pulled the dishwasher out and set it on its front. It leaked a little. Once I finished the inlet elbow replacement....I hooked everything back up and now when I go to start it.....it leaks from everywhere under the bottom as the water fills. What did I do wrong? It didn't leak everywhere before I changed the inlet elbow for the fill water. Did something change from tipping it onto its front that I am not aware of? I also tried to just put some water in the tub to fill the drain basket and it just all leaks out. Please advise Thanks,' Thomas

Hi...Just to follow up on the leaking tub issue. I did consult with a few folks in the past week and the consensus was the same. Leaky tub seal. So I checked a little further. I inspected the tub seal and noticed it was not flush in one area, like the rest of it. I looked underneath and wouldn't ya know it? The pump assembly was resting on the connector for the drain line. I pulled the unit out a bit so that the drain line could be cleared and pushed behind instead of under the pump. I then inspected the seal again....now that area was flush like the rest of the seal. So dumped some water in the tub and YOU GUESSED IT.....NO MORE LEAK! Should have known it would be something like that. Thanks to all who pointed me in the right direction. I really appreciate your input.

    Thanks again,
    Thomas (;o)

P.S. I am still making my kids wash dishes for the next few weeks. They always complained about doing dishes and I always told them that at least it is only the plastics and pots. Could be worse....could be all the dishes. Well now I think they are starting to appreciate that we have had a dishwasher all these years. Having to do all the dishes now....they are always asking when I will be fixing the dishwasher. Tehe!

So something good is coming out of this little problem after all! The lesson of not taking things like a dishwasher for granted!!!!!
