My Craftsman 53684 keyless won't work with my Craftsman 53930DM.

I just installed a Craftsman garage door opener model #53930DM and I can not get my Craftsman keyless entry keypad model #53684 to program the password/pin. I have tried the directions provided by the keypad:

1. Enter the four digit password desired, then press and hold Enter.
2. Press and release the SRT (learn) button on the door opener panel.
3. After the opener light flashes, release the Enter button

I have also tried the directions provided by the garage door opener:

1. Press and release the "learn" button.
2. Enter the four digit password desired, then press and hold Enter.
3. After the opener light flashes, release the Enter button

Neither one has worked! I have a Clicker CLK1 that won't work as well! Help!!!

Thanks.

Yeah I am experiencing the same problem. All of my remotes that came with it work but I cannot get the wireless keypad to work. I have tried 2 keypads and neither work. I have also tried resetting the computer and that did not help either. Additionally it will not take the code from my car's receiver either. My other garage has the same unit and it works well, I am not sure why this unit will not. Any suggestions?

I've never seen the first set of steps you mention. You always need to press the "learn" button first so the opener will be in the mode to capture the new code. As far as I know it is not necessary to hold the Enter button on the keypad (at least I never have). While the "learn" LED is lit on the opener, just key in the new code and press Enter.

Maybe you should try clearing the receiver first by pressing the "learn" button and holding it until the LED either goes out or starts flashing (depends on model). Then try reprogramming. Maybe the little computer is confused.

Well, I just bought a Sears opener and I have the same problem but neither of these fixes mentioned helped to fix it. I see 4 thumbs up but no comments on how it actually helped other people. If anyone is listening.... is there a solid resolution to this issue. I can't reach Sears support as it's a Holiday. Note: I tried resetting the Learner and had to reprogram my two transmitters, but that worked like a charm. Just not the keypad thingy. Thanks!

Want to know what the default code the Craftsman Model 139.53675SRT2 keyless pad returns to when it is reset

There is no default. It works with the code you install. There is no code installed at the factory.

I have a lift Master Security +, 1/2HP garage door opener. Will the Craftsman 53684 Wireless entry keypad work with it?

Without a model number no one can tell.

Try this:

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to the keypad and key in any 4 digit code you like and press enter.

Keypad won't work anymore

Lets make sure you are programming it correctly, make sure the battery is new. Press and release the learn button on the motor. Within 30 seconds enter in the 4 digit code followed by the up/down button. The light bulb should flash once. If you can't get it to code in this way you will need to replace the keypad. Thanks BB
