The washer has 4 rods that support the tub for suspension and four rubber straps to keep lateral movement to a minimum. With time the straps which are called bungys get stretched and worn out. Some times water sloshes over the top of the tub . SERVICE MANUAL

GE Front Load washer shakes whenever any type of load is put in. GE service has been out at least 4 times and say that its fine..perfectly level, etc

All front loaders shake to some extent. It depends on the balance of the load. It is especially evident in the spin cycle due to the high speeds. Also these machines are best placed on a solid cement floor. They can shake an entire house if on the first or second floor and the floors are not well reinforced.

Washer shakes when spining. More on heavier loads.

shaking is generally due to inadequate floor structure under machine; i.e. plywood floor. in addition, if the washer is on a "pedistal" it will make matters worse; as the center of gravity is away from the floor. in rare cases, one of the drum "struts" can fall apart; and, cause excessive shaking. if you broke the locknut on one of the legs, unscrew the leg, and bring it to the hardware store for a replacement nut.

Washing machine is clicking and shaking

have you taken out the transit bolts at the back of the machine. also is the washer level and stable to stop it shaking. if it is none of these your washer might be on the way out.
