Konica minolta DiMage Z10 doesn't recognize sd card

My Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z10 Digital Camera is not recognizing my SD 32 memory card. (SDC-32M). I've used this card before in this camera successfully. My laptop reads the card. I've taken batteries out, turned camera on and off, reformatted card through the SD Card website, not windows. I've taken the card in and out of the camera hoping it was a loose connection to no avail. I tried to go to the playback menu to format the card through the camera, but it doesn't recognize the card for me to format it, and I can't even scroll through to the format menu part. There is an exclamation mark. by format and delete in that section of that menu. Worst part is, I can't find the stupid cord that goes from camera to pc. Wondering if there's a firmware update if I do find the cord? Any other suggestions?

Might one enquire how you have assessed the intelligence of the connecting lead ? I know of no definitive tests for this area of electronic equipment.

SOURCE: 8 Gb SD card not recognized by Minolta DiMage Z6

The Z6 works with MMC and SD cards. Your 8GB card is actually an SDHC card. While SDHC cards will fit into SD slots, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use MMC or SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

I have a Konica minolta with 512 MB memory. How much more memory of SDhc/SD card can it use as it is unable to use 4GB SDHC card. Thanks.

The Z1 uses SD cards, which top out at 2GB. SDHC cards do not work with this camera, as you've already found out.

Am I able to use a 2GB SD card in my Konica Minolta Dimage G400 camera or could this cause problems.

This camera has been discontinued, and is no longer sold as new. There are still vendors that sell accessories for this camera including batteries and SD memory cards. A google search of "dimage g400 memory" reveals a number of retailers that sell SD cards of varying sizes up to 2 GB specifically for this camera.

Going beyond 2 GB however, will probably give mixed results, as most cards 4 GB (the next size up from 2 GB) are SDHC type cards. An SDHC card looks identical to the SD counterpart, but is manufactured to a different specification. The SDHC specification was developed after you camera was made, so use of cards bearing the SDHC mark is not supported.

I hope this helps!

My Konica Minolta Dimage A200 do no recognize the memory cards. Can anybody help e to solve this problem?

Format the cards in the camera. Make sure you download any pictures that might be on the cards first. Use a card reader if necessary.

Z3 will not accept a 2g card

The Dimage Z3 accept SD cards up to 1GB (Minolta says 512 Mb, and sold it with 16Mb). This camera is 4MP , and uses less memory on card, therefore a 512MB card will be enough for it.

SanDisk Flash memory card - 512 MB SD Memory ...

from $13 - 20 stores

PNY Flash memory card - 512 MB SD Memory Card ...

from $3 - 2 stores

SanDisk SD Industrial Flash memory card - 512 ... from $14

Here 1 Gb, try at your risk, but they normally work:

Compatibility of sdhc card with konica milota Dimage Z10

Your camera will accept a maximum SD card capacity of 2GB. It simply isn't capable of handling anything of a larger capacity and in particular is incompatible with the more technically advanced SDHC cards.

Your fix is to either replace your camera with a later model or to stick to using SD cards with a maximum 2GB capacity.
