O2 sensor bad or not grounded. if you disconect the sensor it should start also. if the light bothers you on the bars you can simply buy an o2 sensor bypass plug. might be bad battery too. might wanna double check with a mechanic...:)

SOURCE: bke wont start

Hi there, try this sometimes the stand switch can make the bike not work if has got rusted at the back.and check or replace the coil., then check if you are getting a spark from the plug by putting the spark plug on top of the head. The next thing is if the bike turns over but not fire up, you need to strip down carb and clean jets, also check petrol value under the tank If you have a book it will go through this step by step. good luck.

SOURCE: water just goy into my muffler and my dirt bike

It would talke a lot of water to get into the pistons under normal circumstances. Pull the plugs and try to give it a kick. If there is water in there, it should come out when you kick it. Check the oil for water contamination. If you find any water, change your oil immediately. Oil should look like honey or it shuld be black. Anything else is contaminatied. If you find water, squirt oil into each spark plug hole and turn your engine over - get local advice from your motorcycle shop.

1995 98 regency died about a mile from work and wont start. Blew muffler apart while trying. changed crank sensor with no results. Checked timing and its ok. any help

It would have to be running lean to damage the muffler. Lean is an indication of lack of fuel. I would suspect plugged fuel filter or worn out fuel pump

Ducati 1098s wont start , backfireing

Check your mufflers. Such problems are usually common with exhaust systems so the first take you should have had was to check them before thinking of your plugs. If you need more about bike functionality then you can check my exhaust for details..

Have a1983 gs450L suzuki for a winter project. I got it to start after sitting for years. Took off mufflers and added straight pipes and put on airfilter pods plus went from 130 main jet to 140. Bike wont...

Go back to the 130 main jet. Be sure to check that both carb slides lift at the same moment. Also check to see if one carb is "driving" the other due to the idle screws not being balanced. Check the compression in both cylinders. It should be within 10% of each other. It is not likely that the bike has jumped time.

What a funny set of events.Of course the tail pipe is clear(you would have checked that)The only other thing it might be is the cat/converter is blocked.New muffler is allowing a heap of air through and it suddenly clears and the bang. They do block up so it may be worth getting it checked.Hope this helps

if it has been sitting for awhile you might need to clean the carbs -clean the stock carbs and get it running before making changes -check comp. as well-bike bandit seems to have a good selection of older bike parts
