Assuming you mean the 'BIOS Password', turn off & UNPLUG the power cable. Then open the case, find the little silver battery 'coin cell' battery (type CR2032) = on the moherboard, make a note which way round it is & and remove it for a coiple of miniutes. After putting it back in, when you next power up, you will have to eneter the current time & date into the BIOS..

From bios "Load default setting", then F10 \ save and exit, then if you can not install audio driver, so it is not for your operating system(windows), need download your motherboard's audio driver for your operating system.
There should be a photo of the board and instruction on where the leads are fitted if you browse the manufacturers web site and input the model of the unit you are refitting.
try booting into your bios for most commercial desktops your short cut key would be f8 if not try hitting delete on start up in all case you should be able to get into your bios when your in the bios make sure the cd is the first boot device not your hard drive. also key note make sure every thing in that list is off just make your cd rom the only thing to boot.

Try removing the bios battery. that will reset the motherboard settings. U can also try to find the reset jumer on the motherboard. im most cases it will fix the problem.
standby can sometimes not work because of hardware incompatibility. easy way is not to use it, or use hibernation instead. if you insist using it, you can try to updae the bios or reset the bios or unplug all usb devices and pci cards and try to see what cause the error.
