The water level in my Toto Drake toilet bowl is normal right after a flush, but often is very low a few hours later.

The toilet flushes efficiently. After flushing, the bowl has a normal amount of water in it. Often, a few hours later, the water in the bowl is much lower - sometimes half as low as it is right after a flush. In order to use the toilet, we flush in order to make the bowl fill with water again.

The bowl is cracked and is leaking down the drain. You will have to replace it. It may have cracked if the bowl hold-down bolts were overtightened, or the bowl was not able to sit flush (pardon the pun) on the floor. If the bowl rocks when it is first installed, instead of tightening the hold-down bolts, use a couple of tapered shims under the edge of it, then caulk to fill the gap and hide the shims.
Good luck.

SOURCE: Toto toilet Power Gravity intermittently running

You need to either bend the arm that connects tot he float down (if it is the type with the ball float) or adjust the height of the fill valve assembly. THis accomplished by slightly twisting the valve assembly carefully and sliding down a half of an inch or so and then twisting back to lock it in place.

This should fix you up right.

SOURCE: toto seems to flush, but suction not working and waste not emtying

check the discharge hole, meaning you have to take down the toilet.
and make sure the water in the tank is at a proper high. you need the volume to create the wirlpool and push the waste.

SOURCE: I have a Toto 1.6Gpf. After flushing, water is

It sounds like the flapper is not seating after it has been raised with the chain. I have had this problem. Take the lid off the tank and see if the flapper, the rubber thing that covers the hole in the bottom of the tank, is hanging up on something. On mine, the chain was too long and fell down the hole and kept the rubber flapper from sealing the hole.
If the tank is filling up with water and the water keeps flowing in and going down the overflow, then the fill valve needs to be adjusted so that the water shuts off about one half inch below the top of the overflow tube. Best of Luck

After flushing the toilet the bowl only a small amount of water comes back into bowl. This is a new problem. Could there be a clog?

Is the flapper valve closing sooner then it should? Is the water line (the 1/4" vinyl tube at top of fill valve) going into the tank or into the overflow tube? Did anyone drop anything into the flush valve?

Sounds like the water tank keeps filling

2 possibilities.1. The water level is set higher the the overflow tube. This will cause the water to run into the overflow continuously. You should be able to see this. 2. The large seal - bottom center of the tank - is leaking. This will cause the water level to slowly drop after a fill. The water tank will start to run again after flushing - BUT NOT CONTINUOUSLY. You should see if there is a small amount of water flowing from the rim to the bowl 15 seconds after the water has stopped running after a flush.

The water level in the bowl is too low after flushing. Can I adjust it somehow to leave more water in the bowl?

Make sure the fill tube in the tank from the fill valve is in the overflow tibe inside tank. The tube allows bowl to fill with water to correct level.

2. Turn on water supply to fill tank.
3. Tamper proof key is optional, and may be used to simply to prevent further adjustment once final setting is achieved. Fig D

TOTO DRAKE flushes then the tank fills, stops, then slowley leaks and the water just runs on and on at a trickle pace down the overflow spout.

The rubber stopper that is inside the back of the tank is allowing water to get by do to:
(1.) Be wore out- must be replaced with a new one.
(2.) The chain that is connected to the flush handle needs to be adjusted. However, if it has not been messed with recently, then it will be the (1.)

Handicapp Toilet Bowl does not fill - up as high as regular toilet > very small amount of water in bowl after flushing ie> about 10 cuos of water.. JUST INSTALLED IT NEW YESTERDAY...

Wiith all due respect, the Drake toilet is not a regular toilet and doesn't sound the same as a regular toilet when you flush it. It is in the design that allows it use only 1.5 gpf instead of 3.5 gpf. A rather unique thing is that while it is scientifically calibrated to release 1.5 gpf, it does not empty the tank of approximately 1 gallon of water. Therefore if one feels the need for a little extra umph, simply hold down the flush lever when you flush until the tank is emptied.

G-max flushing system is not filling to proper level

Is it not refilling the tank or the bowl? I've got a toto also that is not fully refilling the bowl after each flush. No leaks or other problems. Tank refills fine. Seems that the flapper doesn't float long enough to allow a sufficient amount of water to drain into the bowl before closing. Any ideas?

Delay on tank fill after flush. Toto Drake bowl ada elongatred

I am not a plumber but stumbled across the solution on my own. While watching the float during the flush cycle, it was obvious that it was very slow in moving downward along with the water level in the tank. The problem was that the small opening in the float chamber was partially clogged. Using just my fingers, I reached under the float chamber and cleaned off any debris that was blocking the opening underneath the float chamber. Put the float back on, and instantly the problem was solved. The tank fill started immediately after I flushed.
