Burn error Instant Dvd Recorder windows 7 Dazzle dvc 100
I have the dazzle DVC 100, running windows 7, when i go to run the instant dvd recorder software I have it set to output to a hard disk folder(a folder on my desktop). When I hit start it does nothing and "Burning error" appears above the start recording button and the button fades but still says "Start Recording" then it blue screens. I installed the Instant dvd recorder software from the pinnacle website(I lost the disk, the package it came in had the serial code on it with a blank cd in). I can leave it in this state for as long as I want but when I shut the windows my computer bluescreens about 1/3 of the time. I defragged my computer and it didn't help. I set compatibility to windows vista(service pack 1).

Try other drivers. Just install and uninstall if they don't work. Usually, windows have a load of drivers for such. I had same kind of problem before with more than one of my devices before but I got them to work on other brand's drivers. It just takes a little trial and error loading and unloading different drivers.

If you follow any of the videos, it won’t work!
Step 1: Install the Pinnacle Dazzle Video Creator Platinum software and make sure it works with the Dazzle DVC 100.
Step 2: Buy 3 RCA type Y cables. One male end, 2 female ends.
Step 3: Plug the male ends of the RCA y-connectors to the Dazzle DVC 100.
Step 4: Plug the Yellow, Red and White RCA connectors from the XBox 360 to the color matched female RCA y-connectors on the Dazzle DVC 100.
Step 5: Plug a second triple RCA connector into the other end of the color matched RCA Y Connectors.
Step 6: Plug the other end of the triple RCA connector into the TV.
Step 7: The tricky part no one ever mentions: On the XBox 360 video cable, there is a switch that switches from HDTV to TV. You must switch this to TV!
When you open your Instant DVD Recorder all you have to do is to choose Go directly to advance mode then on step number 1 click on the pull down arrow and choose dazzle dvc 100. Click option after that. Click on video input and then click VCR input. Now go to step number 4 and you can now put your valid time for recording. Check if choppy video again and let me know it by replying here.
No... the only way is if Dazzle makes an upgrade or patch. Win7 is closing the door on Software that is not Certified for this specific OS. Good and Bad... mostly Good... for the long run...
