SOURCE: wire Hayward Super Pump for 115

If you look closely, you should see a small arrow on the black plastic piece on the terminal block(jumper). That arrow lines up with either the 115 or 230 mark on the white terminal board. Make sure it is aligned with the 115.

Then put you two line wires on. It does not matter which wire goes to line 1 and line 2, just be sure you DO NOT put them both on the same terminal. A plastic divider usually seperates the two line connection terminals.

SOURCE: Need wiring diagram for Hayward dual Super 2 speed

You need 4 wires to wire the 2 speed pump. You will also need a 2 speed time clock.. Tightwatt or intermatic. The wiring diagram is on the motor.

Either one. Neutral to the other post. Be sure to set the voltage change device to 115V to match your incoming line voltage.

SOURCE: I'm need assistance wiring my hayward 2 speed

You may have a faulty bearing ... causing the noise. The pump is actually water cooled. Do you have 2 inch line for your 2 HP pump? Small pipe makes the pump work harder. If your lines are smaller, you may want to consider a smaller pump.

the motors will run pretty warm.

Run your pump on high for best results.

If you are using a timer ... you will need a double pole switch to turn it off if it is setup for 220 VAC (which it should be, for most econimical operation)

I burned up a 1 1/2 Super Pump. I see it was originally wired for 120 and am wondering if I should wire it for 230 with my new pump. What are the advantages/disadvantages of 230 vs 120v.

120 volt carries a higher amperage through the circuit, while 220 carries a lower amperage through the circuit. Safety and wiring sizes come into play here. 230 will always be better over 120 for the above reasons, and also for the fact that it is more cost effective on your electrical bill.

wire your circuit and your pump for 220volt if possible. Only use 120 volts if you have to do it and theres no other options.

How to install hayward motor?

Just the motor? Three things you must consider: There are 4 bolts that fasten the motor to the pump housing. You need to determine 110 Volts or 220 volts - 220 will run the pump more efficiently. Bonding. Your motor must be bonded to all other metal parts of your pool system.

Can you please tell me the correct wiring for a Hayward 120V pool pump (not 240V) Thank you

Follow diagram on the tag. typically low voltage and high voltage volt are diagramed on the tag. Most manufactures send pumps out already for 220. the A and B terminals are for pump wires. and the lines are for the power cord. follow the diagram and you can't go wrong;

If you are replacing a 2 hp pump with a Hayward 2 hp super pump on a 220 line is L1 white and L2 black

Shouldn't be a white line on a 220 circuit but some people use them. Red and Black is the standard. If you are sure they supply 220 VAC, which I would verify, it doesn't matter which one goes to which terminal. 120 or 3 phase matters. If you have a multi meter, put the red lead on the black wire and the black lead on the white wire. If you read 220, good. If you read 120, it will make a difference.

What specifically are you looking for (beside the fact you asked for a diagram)?

It should be setup for 220 Volts ... the only thing inside is a start cap.

Can you tell me more? I maintain 5 2 and 1 1.5 hp such pumps.
