Toilet ooopsie My son got a hold of my phone a droped it in the toilet, and now I cannot get it off of Car Kit I cannot hear people or be heard. I was looking a solution but I cannot find that info on my phone. I have a vx5200 lg cellular phone. Please someone help me.

If, at the moment you turn your carkit on, the sentence 'Pairing mode' isn't heard, press and hold the answer/end button for some 5 seconds, until you hear that announcent. Then, make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a little while, your car kit should appear on the phone' screen. Select it and make it connect. If a pairing code (or PIN, or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros, without the quotes).

As you droped your phone to toilet you can get a new phone for that.If you still want a new phone means you have another way make your phone not to work properly then you can go to your nearest samsung service center tell them that it is not functioning well they will check your phone and if they came to that it right then they will provide you a new phone.Thanks for your question happy to help .

hold the sleep button for about 5-6 seconds and restart it. Try that a few times, and then if that does not work, connect it to the computer and hit the 'restore' button and see if it will restore the light. Try to charge it also, sometimes that will help.

If it's been over a month since this happened there's a good chance the circuit board was fried.

Car Kit doesn't necessarily mean the phone got wet, but it does mean that there's a problem with the charging port. Most likely there's a lot of corrosion in there, and if you clean it out then it may get the phone working again.

The best way to clean your charge port is with some contact cleaner and a toothbrush.

If the problem persists after that, then you'll want to bring it in to a store and get the phone serviced or replaced.

Today 01/23/09 I had the same "car kit" message on my cell phone. After inspecting my charging port connection area I noticed corrosion on the connector. I applied DeoxIT D100L by CAIG Laboratories and cured the problem. I am now able to use my phone again.

The Car Kit message is usually caused by corrosion in your charging port. Yes, holding * may revive the phone, but your best bet is to get some contact cleaner and a toothbrush and clean out your charging port.
