SOURCE: need to know how much oil to mix with gas for a 4

You only need to mix oil with gas when it is a 2 cycle engine. 4 cycle engines run on straight gas. Since you didn't post your model number, here is a site you can hopefully find your owners manual at. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: replacing fuel lines on ryobi weed eater, need

This is an ongoing issue for users, and rightfully so. Small diameter line out of fuel tank (has filter in-tank on end) connects to the side of the carburetor that has the fuel pump....that is the cover without the hole in it. Other larger diameter fuel line out of tank connects to the longer nipple on the external purge/primer bulb. The bulb "pulls" fresh fuel from the fuel tank to the carb and then out of the carb to itself, where it then pushes any air/old fuel back into the fuel tank. The remaining larger diameter fuel line in this setup goes from the metering chamber (has cover with writing on it and a vent-hole) side of the carburetor to the smaller nipple on the purge/primer bulb. Years ago on 2-stroke trimmers, primers were not even used,...you choked the carb with a slide lever and gravity let fuel enter the carb from above...a few pulls, a "pop"...slide it off of choke and away you went.
If the purge/primer bulb is on top of the carb...small line from carb body to small hole in tank with filter. Larger diameter line goes from the bulb on the fuel pump side of the carb to the larger hole in the fuel tank where the line is held in place with a nylon nipple connector that keeps the line from pulling out of the tank.

My Ryobi weed eater x430. 4 cycle. It will start but then dies. Any suggestions

Sounds like a fuel problem - have you tried using partial choke? At least, this might verify that you just have a fuel problem. The 4-stroke is not as temporemental as the 2-stroke, but worth checking a few simple things : Is there an obstruction in the fuel supply ? Is the fuel tank supposed to be vented - if so, is the vent blocked ? Is there some dirt in the fuel, leading to a blocked jet in the carburetor ? - if so, drain/empty the carburetor, clean sediment & ensure all jets are clear and refill whole system with clean fresh fuel : If the carburetor or any part of it is loose, there might well be an Induction air-leak ( which could impair the engine's intake of fuel ) : And (of course ) - Is the spark-plug badly "gapped" or fouled ? Try to isolate and eradicate in a methodical way, good luck !

I am looking for a Ryobi weed eater manual. Need to know how much oil to put in my weed eater. Can you give me an answer or where I can get a free manual. Thanks

You did not list which model Ryobi you have, however...
If your Ryobi has a silver or black shaft, then it is an older model and requires a 32:1 fuel mix. In the USA, that is 4 ounces of 2 cycle mix per gallon of gasoline. If your Ryobi has a yellow shaft, then it was made by HCP and uses a 50:1 mix or 2.6 ounces of 2 cycle mix per gallon.
Good luck!

Do you use mixed gas for a ryobi weed eater??

Unless it has a tag or decal on it saying it is a 4 cycle then it uses mixed gas/oil at about a 50:1 ratio. Straight gasoline will freeze the piston in the cylinder in mere minutes.
