Situation Remedies If you have encountered this error and would like to fix your computer, here are some remedies for each situation:

You can easily avoid this error by making sure that you completely shut down your computer before turning off the power. Usually this entails going into the Start Menu/ Turn Off Computer/ Shut Down. If you received the error, shut down the computer properly, if this is the cause of the error, the error message will not return.

It is in your bios this motherboard has been known to have isues with the bios chip.I am useing this motherboard and have been lucky I did not get this problem you are haveing.You may try flashing to the curent bios 1903 geting the download from the Asus site.

Extract
Then remove file
Rename file to P5LD2.rom
Put renamed file only on three and a half floppy disk
Reboot Holding alt F2 at same time
flash will start

If you do not feel safe doing this then you can get a new bios chip from asus with the 1903

Good Luck
Also make sure you have no air gaps on your heatsink to proc this will cause the pc to heat up and shut down.

1) if you have nothing in a USB port you will need to set bios
Try removing M/board battery for 2 to 3 hours some people say less then replace it most times it should set BIOS back to default
also check setup of hard disks master slave etc

Last resort with 15 seconds you should be able to see
press ?? key to access BIOS next boot keep pressing key see if that works

hi, pl check for viruses, scan the system, and go to cmd prompt and issue this commnd at c:\ shudown -a and press enter to disable reboot and scan the system and check any hardware issue.

dead battery ...buy a new cmos battery for £2 ..make sure you install correct way up...

from any pc shop or ebay...

you will have to reset date /time in bios afterwards...f2 or delete usually to enter bios settings..
