Everytime i log in to check my mails yahoo page always asks me to check my mail using yahoo!mail classic. So that is what I always do. I wonder if there is a virus in my computer? or there must be a problem to yahoo's side.

SOURCE: cant log into yahoo mail

I had the same problem 2 days ago, I tried a lot of things and finally got the the solution.
It was a DNS resolution problem
In my wireless netgear DG 834GT router settings (through IE), at the DNS address I unchecked "get automatic from ISP" then checked to use the primary DNS at 4.2.2.2 and secondary DNS at 4.2.2.3 ( I followed the Router's manual instructions )
Maybe u have to see in your Router manual what address u have to put for primary and secondary DNS?
Good luck, hope this will help

I do not like the new yahoo mail, it is much harder for me to see ......please return me to yahoo mail classic

hello there,
I also do not like the new version of the Yahoo Mail.. So I researched and found this
Yahoo Classic
and it helped me get back to the Classic mail
The part there that helped me is the part where you lower your screen resolution to the lowest. The difference is, I already have the Yahoo Mail. So after I logged in, I got the error message saying that my computer has a bad resolution. What I did was, I clicked the link on the "lower right side of the page" that says Return to a previous version of Yahoo! Mail It changed my yahoo mail to classic. I logged out. Change my resolution to the highest. logged in on my yahoo email. There, I still have the classic yahoo..
Hope this works for you!

I want to go back to my yahoo mail classic, how can i do it, Thank you.

As of May 2011, there are three versions of the free Yahoo! Mail available: a "classic" version, a standard version and a beta release of the latest Yahoo! Mail. While the company promises that the newest version is faster and better than its predecessors, some people may still prefer to switch back to more familiar territory after giving the new one a trial run. You can switch back and forth between the beta version and the one you currently use during the beta phase of the latest Yahoo! Mail.

Switching from Yahoo! Mail Beta
1.Log in to Yahoo! Mail Beta.
2.Click "Help" on the top left of the page.
3.Click "Return to Original Mail." A message will appear asking for your feedback on why you are switching back to the old Yahoo! Mail interface. Check the situation that applies to you and enter additional comments in the form. Leave it all blank if you do not want to give a reason.
4.Deselect "It's OK to contact me about my feedback" if you do not want Yahoo! to get in touch with you regarding your feedback. Otherwise keep it checked.
5.Click "Continue." You will be taken to the last version of Yahoo! Mail that you used before trying out the new beta.

Switching from Yahoo! Mail to Yahoo! Mail Classic

1.Log in to Yahoo! Mail.
2.Click "Options" on the right between "Mobile" and 'Help."
3.Click "Mail Classic..." A message will appear saying, "You're about to switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic. Before you do, we'd love your feedback."
4.Click the "feedback" link if you want to explain why you are switching to the classic version and fill in the form. Other
5.Click "Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic."

The new Yahoo mail is having all kinds of problems; from inability lo log in to links to messages not working.

I just found a possible solution; it worked for me:

- Open the Yahoo main page, and log in with your user account and password.
- Go to the following link: http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?script=no and click on "yes" to opt out.

This is supposed to revert your mail to the classic interface, hopefully you'll be back to working before.

Hi,

To switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic (Old Yahoo), on your Yahoo Mail page click the Options link in the upper right corner between Help and Mobile, then click the Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic link.

A dialog box might appear asking for feedback. If it does, click Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic.

For more details, click on this link

Alternate method to switch to Yahoo Mail Classic:

After logging in to your Yahoo mail account, click on this link or copy and paste the below link in your web browser address bar:

http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?script=

Then on the page which opens, you will be asked "Do you really want to opt out?". Click on the Yes button. Now your Yahoo mail page will Switch to Classic version.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa

Classic email page is all screwed up.

My first thought would be that your computor picked up a virus. I would do a full manual scan right away. Then take it from there.
