Samsung dlp won't turn on

    It turns on but won't stay on is more appropriate, i changed the lamp first but i keep getting the 3 lights on the dial that blink after 2-3 attempts to start. No lamp light and color wheel has not shattered, I'm flummoxed 8-( help...

    changed power board and ballast and new lamp no solution. still have 3 blinking lights

    If lamp ballast have damaged, 3 binking of standby light can occur.

    After lamp replacement, lamp run time should be reset. For this adjustment, you have to enter its service mode. Service mode window is quiet different to that of normal user window. Without proper knowledge, entering into service mode, and adjusting data values to this window may make TV beyond repair. It will be best to contact any experienced service person to do this.

How does a ballast for a hitachi ultravision dlp tv look

Rest the lamp hour meter
  • 1 Press menu on the DLP's remote.
  • 2 Scroll down the list to "Timer."
  • 3 Press "Enter" on the remote, then "Reset." Press "OK" to complete the process, and "MENU" to exit the menu.
Service Level Reset
  • 1 Turn off the DLP with the remote.
  • 2 Press a pre-determined button sequence on the remote control to access the factory reset option. These sequences are found in the owner's manuals of the various DLP televisions, or in the "Support" sections of the manufacturers' websites. Scroll to the "RESET" option on the menu to reset the bulb timer.
  • 3 Press a factory-determined combination of buttons on the remote and front panel of the individual DLP display to reset the bulb timer without entering a menu.
