First, make sure you recieved the offer of 12 months of free Live subscription. Check your order emails for details. Look for any kind of proof that you did recieve that offer. I personally think you must have mis-read that you are recieving that offer. 12 months of subscription is a lot. I doubt Microsoft will give it for free. But, if you have any proof of it you can claim it. If you used coupon codes keep note them down for the next step.

Yeah don't we all! Check inside your game box's, I recently did and found 3 48hr free trials. I'm not sure if you can get a free gold trial.
