Priming can be done many different ways depending on thetubs design. Some tub manufactures provide bleed valves located on the plumbingjust beyond the pump and heater unions. Some pumps have a bleed valve locatedon the pump. If there are no bleed valves then you will have to release theunion nuts to allow the air to escape.
You can find answers to common spa or bath problems online at http://www.balboadirect.com/support.aspx
Hope that helps.

The topside controls aren't fused so the fuses wont be the cause.

It can only be either the PCB, the topside controls, or a bad connection at fault. Check that they are plugged in correctly, make sure that the PCB is configured correctly for your topside controls.

It's rare for both the main and auxilary topside controls to fail. You can try plugging in another main topside control without fully installing it... at least you can then return it (ask whether or not return are accepted, I don't personally accept any returns if parts are specially ordered) if it doesn't cure the problem.

Ian.

This does not sound normal, but in order to better diagnose this I need to know exactly what model of controls your spa has. This is easily found on a label on top of the control box in the spa cabinet. If the label is missing, then remove the control box cover and look at the inside of the cover for the schematic, should be a model number on it.

Do I have the correct controller for my Hot Tub? I have a Jacuzzi Lexus L.C. with a Balboa F1089R1A processor. I ordered a topside control panel online and received a Balboa VL701S but nothing is working...

Curios, why did you order another control panel? I need some history, when it worked, how it failed, any other information like if it was moved or rewired for power...etc.

Balboa hot tub.. how to turn up the HEAT / TEMP , no owners manual, and does anyone know where I can get one?

You do not have a Balboa Hot Tub. That is the company that made the control panel for it. Id venture to guess it's either a Hawkeye, Barefoot or Master spa if it came with no owners manual. To turn up the heat simply press the Red "up" arrow on the digital control pad. Check out the link below. It's a quick reference guide to what I'm guessing is your top side control.

Cannot get temperature buttons on hot tub to change

Hi,
Do the other buttons work? Is the control panel locked, some spas have a control panel lock to prevent kids from playing with the temperature. Are any of the buttons stuck in the de-pressed/down position? If neither the problem is likely in your topside control which means it will need to be replaced.

My pacific hot tub has LOC on the display and i cant adjust the jets or temp. Is the display locked and how do i unlock it?

Mike,

Yes LOC is a standard topside lock code.

Try these common unlock codes,

Press & Hold Jet Button for 6 seconds
or
Press & Hold Temp Up & Temp down for 6 seconds.

Possibly your jet button is faulty i.e. it is broken internally or when it is pressed the button sticks in the on position and locks out the panel.

If those common codes don't work let me know which brand/topside control your spa has and I will get a more specific answer.

Topside control issues

Topside control is in "Locked" mode.
If you accidentally locked your control

Hold temperature UP & DOWN together for 6 seconds.
or
Balboa 7 button controls, both buttons to the left of the display screen & down temperature.
or
One of the buttons might be stuck in the down position

If these do not help let us know your control make and model & we'll see what we can do to find out more for you.

Marquis Hot Tub, Instrument Panels (Balboa Instruments main and side auxillary) do not display the LED read out. Replaced main control panel twice, replaced 250 W. 3/10 fuse.
