I have a JVC gz-mg130u HD camcorder that willnot work in Vista

I would go to www.jvc.com and click on support and type your model number and then you can download your software.

I use Sony Vegas 8 Movie Studio...a great piece of software...and use the Storm codec pack to view .mod files that the JVC puts out:

When you plug in the camera XP should see it as an external drive.
You will need to copy all the MPG files over manually.
Check the JVC site regularly for a Vista software pack.
