Installed all new ink cartridges and now poor printing results

Prior to this event, the printer worked fine, except it was running out of ink. After installing new set of ink cartridges, the MP530 prints out hard copy that is mostly black and white, but with some poorly defined color and repeatable white line stripes between the images on the page. Attempted to clean print head 4 times, but no improvement.

How to fix?

Hi,

hope this tip can help your problem your printer ink,

try to put your ink cartridges the printing head on top of a cotton with an alcohol in it. 40% it can. for about 5 minutes or less.

after that whip it with dry cotton. and install it again. and do again the cleaning procedure of the printer head.

and also check your printing preferences about print quality.

Dear louis,
You have done right thing by cleaning the print head. If the print head still clogged after repeatedly cleaning, It seems that the print head need to be replace with new one. Make it sure by printing nozzle check pattern. Is it good or not?.

My Lexmark X2350 will not recognize a replacement ink cartridge

Lexmark does not recommend the use of refilled, re-manufactured or clone cartridges. You might not get the print quality you expect from the ink that is specially formulated by Lexmark and these type of cartridges often result to poor print quality and/or may cause damage to the printer itself. Reliability of these type of cartridges is very poor.
It is highly recommended to use genuine Lexmark cartridges for the most optimal output experience. Lexmark printers work best with genuine supplies.

We just bought a new ink cartridge for our HP c5580 all in one printer. All the other colors print fine - EXCEPT BLUE. It comes out as a "tealish" looking green. We've tried cleaning the...

In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken . Sometimes it is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the PC command or can be an issue with ink drying or poor ink cartridge contacts. Sometimes the power supply unit must be checked as a poor SMPS unit can deliver low voltage and cause issues to the printer function. Check all the leads and connections of the mother board , the tags to the ink cartridge. Also check the mechanical settings of the ink cartridge , if jammed or tight remove motor and manually free the drive before it is set back.

Having trouble fitting new ink cartridge

Hi, when an ink cartridge runs low in your HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One printer, you will see a message on the printer's display screen. Faded-looking text or pictures also indicate low ink. Ensure print quality by replacing ink cartridges when they run low.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

* HP #27 or #56 black, #22 color or #58 color photo print cartridge, or compatible equivalent

Turn printer on if it is off. Never attempt to change the ink cartridge if the printer is off. If it is off, it will not properly position or release ink cartridges, and attempting to change the ink cartridges may damage the printer.

Open the print-carriage door, located on the right side of the printer. The print carriage will automatically move into the access area.

Push down on the top edge of the cartridge you are replacing to pop it out of its slot. Remove the print cartridge and discard or recycle.

Pull off the protective tape on the new print cartridge using the pink tab. Do not touch any part of the cartridge except the black plastic. Touching the contacts or ink nozzles under the protective tape can damage the cartridge and result in poor print quality.

Hold the cartridge upright and push gently forward into the empty ink cartridge slot until it clicks.

Close the print-carriage door.

Rechargeable cartridge problem

marmotzelu_f,

The cartridges used in these products have unique hardware identification numbers assigned to them. The printer records the ID of the print cartridge when it is installed. When the number changes, the unit knows that a new cartridge has been installed and resets the ink counters. Because of this, a low-ink message should not appear with a new cartridge. When you refill the same cartridge, the printer still only recognizes the old ID number on the cartridge, so it 'thinks' the cartridge is still low. There's really no way to reset the ID number, so you're kind of stuck watching to see when the ink starts to run out. I use remaufactured cartridges in my HP 2210 and they work fine (except for the 'low' reading). Just watch for your ink to start running out. I know this is inconvient sometimes, especially when printing pictures. Hope this helps.

Pictures are printed with stripes and poor color

make sure your printer printed an initialisation or alignment sheet once you installed the new cartridge.
you can try a partial reset of the printer and check if the printer prints fine, also there is an option of cartridge calibration in the printer properties or the printer software installed in your computer

Black ink won't print

Any tape/plastic left on the contact points on the cartridge, or any dirt on the contact points on the cartridge or cartridge holder? Will your old cartridge work, except poor print due to empty of ink? If so your new cartridge may be broken.

See if you can try a cartridge known to work in your printer and also try your cartridge in a printer similar to yours to eliminate source of error.
