You probably need Microsoft UAA drivers first
1) Remove any installed audio drivers through device manager
2) Download Microsoft UAA drivers for your O/S
3) Install them and reboot
4) go to device manager right click sound and update driver
It will go on the net and in most cases find and install them

Open device manager > system devices

Disable 'Microsoft UAA bus driver for high definition audio'
uninstall 'UAA bus driver'

Download :
motherboard_driver_audio_realtek_azalia.exe

You will find a link in google.

Extract, install, reboot and then your audio will work!!!!!!!!!!!

You may need to enable the volume bar.
Control Panel > Sounds and Audio
tick 'Place volume icon in the taskbar'

If you do install the asus motherboard -p5sd2-vm audio driver through using the board cd-installer and still the audio is not working, then try to do this..

Step 1: Go to Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices then go to Audio tab.. check if the below of Sound Playback: Default Device "No Device Detected" are selected. if you can scroll the Sound Playback Default Device choice Realtek Audio Output and click the Apply button below .. and sure you there is now a sound coming out from your speaker.. if there's nothing to select then go to Step 2.

Step 2: Try to check in the BIOS if the HD Audio is Enable. Restart your computer and press the Delete key while your computer is booting.... by pressing Delete while your computer is booting you will be directed to your computer BIOS.. try not to do any kind of tricks in your BIOS okay..... Go to 2nd Menu Tab, then Chipset>Southbridge> check if the "onboard audio device" is Enable or Disable. turn the option Enable if it is Disable save your settings by pressing F10 key and follow Step 1. not included the last part. If the Onboard Audio Device is Enable proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: in this step i'm aware now that there is something wrong with your southbridge chip. It is the chip that controlled the devices like the Audio device to make sure of this awareness.. try this step. Go get a Sound Card if you have.. installed the sound card in your computer.. after you installed the sound card in your computer boot your computer and pressing the delete while booting... you will be directed to your computer bios.. now disable the Onboard Audio Devices.. follow the step in step 2 on how to disable and enable audio devices. after you disable the audio device save your settings by pressing F10 key. boot to windows normally and wait for the computer to detect the new installed hardware which that is the sound card... if the computer detected the sound card, then install the sound card driver and so on..... if the computer did not detect the newly installed Sound Card Device , then go to Contron Panel>System>Hardware tab> Device Manager button and look if there is an multimedia audio controller detected, if none then this is only one thing in my mind......your southbridge chipset which control the audio device got *******... the reason of this problem is factory defect or overheat of chipset due to over use .. in that case go step 4.

Step 4. Go buy a new motherboard with the same model or choose other model but compatible with your Processor, Memory, Hard Disk controller, Power Supply controller, cable connector and ports.

HOPE I CAN HELP

The PCI device that is not installed is Microsoft UAA Bus driver. right click my computer>manage>device manager>system devices and there you'll see PCI DEVICE with a yellow alert. right click it and select update driver then tick install the software automatically and click next. if this doesnt help download microsoft uaa bus driver and install it.

  • Anonymous Nov 28, 2008

Microsoft UAA bus driver is needed in order to make your sound driver to work. This is needed in most of the latest motherboards. usually after installing the audio driver in the motherboard cd. microsoft uaa bus driver is copied automatically but is not installed automatically.. so u need to go to device management and run a update driver again. which gives a yellow alert which is called PCI Device

Having problem with my soiud on motherboard p5sd2-vm on windows 7

The green 3.5mm audio input should be all you need. The speaker system should daisy chain. There is a speaker configurations in Windows. Go to Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Manage Audio Device > Sound. In Playback Check levels and configure speaker setup, like 2.1 or .1.

If you are talking about an Audio Driver try the manufacturer's website.

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "ASUSSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the Audio drivers.
