Hi! While I love Maverick I haven't been thrilled with the newer releases. One issue I need help with though is that I despise the login gui. In fact I do not like having the echo or even the wa

1. I do not want my login gui. I prefer to have the blank bash login instead with the no echo. 2. I would like to set up the domain and user with no connection to the actual users and their passwords. i.e. Maverick@Tennessee~$ and then add my admin, and user accounts invisibly so that the actual sudoer is unknown on the screen. 3. I'm getting hacked repeatedly by folks with a serious agenda. They have turned on my computer and screen then changed my password files etc. These folks are driving me nuts. I also suspect that they are using powerline IP because alot of damage has been done while physically disconnected from the internet. They exploded a Dell 40 gig HD, blew up a bunch of my tower memory chips and wrecked my two hard drives with what appears to have been a low-level format, that of course renders them useless. I'm a neophyte at scripting and scared to death of making things worse. BTW- they have blown through my cheap lynksys router and gufw and then actually ate Firefox line by line from bottom to top. WINDOZE I hate. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also I want to create an IPv6 tunnel to my ISP that can't be hacked without a struggle. [email protected]

How to find an unlock code for LG THrill?

Hi, it's possible to purchase the code from the LG factory but not for free. Though you can use the free unlocking offer on Fastgsm.com, I think it's worth a try.

1999 mercedes E320 doors and trunk will not open or lock electrical

This is likely not an electrical issue, but a vacuum issue. You likely have a vacuum leak somewhere in the car. Either that or the vacuum pump has failed, which is also another common issue on all Mercs, even new ones.
If I haven't got my models mixed up, then it should be located under the back seat. There's a picture of the vacuum pump below for your reference.
It's best to use a vacuum tester, as your mouth likely won't be good enough to perform a **** test on each vacuum circuit. Leaks can occur anywhere on that car, and I mean anywhere, so even though there are a few of the most common places, e.g. seat cushion bags, rear seat switches, boot release and such, I don't want to let you think that issues are only limited to the more common areas.
This entire vehicle is a living nightmare in my opinion. I've never worked on anything as unreliable as this car, and I've worked on a LOT of different cars.
Sorry for the bad news. If you love your car and can put up with all it's issues, then I can't knock it and fully respect your choice. If you want a reliable cost effective, luxury and/or performance car though, then you should seriously consider getting rid of it and going for something else.
If you are posting here for tips, then I assume you are not someone with extremely deep pockets, and with a potentially unlimited budget at your disposal. I repeat, this car can be a potentially huge money pit that will always be in need of repair.
Good luck! I sincerely mean that.

Hi can i install viber on my htc hd2 ? tnx avi

Hi, This is an official representative of Viber Media.
To be frank, we haven't thoroughly tested Viber on that device yet (due to the fact that it's still quite rare in the market worldwide), but we assume that it should generally work fine, with some potential incompatibility issues.
You may download it from the Market and we'd love for you to test it and let us know if anything goes wrong.
If you have more questions, we invite you to visit our Facebook page. Regards, Viber.

Car Won't Start - Engine No Completely Start. It is starts but stops immediately.

Hi there,

You haven't provided much information on Year or Engine model.

This condition could be caused by many things, ranging from fuel, air leak to sensor issues.

If your vehicle is 1996 (or newer), your vehicle's onboard diagnostic (OBD2) computer will have stored the fault codes relating to this condition.

Have an approved service agent check for codes (this only takes 15mins) which will quickly identify the suspected circuit/component.

The above process will save you unecessary expense.

Cheers,

The reverse pedal on my F525 John Deere lawn mower is not working. It is impossible for me to back up. The pedal goes down but does not activate the mower to go back.

Hi there,

We are having the same problem, I followed the cable to the back part of the lawn mower by the battery. There is a small ram that the cable pushes in and back out when you release the peddle. I found that the top part of the ram was broken and there was no pressure to push the cable back in when the peddle is released. I have not found out how much the part is yet, looks to be an easy fix though. I hope this help..

I am tred every time i want to open my emails it gives me a lot of nonsense that i don't understand why cant i just get the login to give my email address and password

You may need to get a new email account to solve this issue because once it doesn't let you in to login, then you will not ever be able to access it. Furthermore, if you haven't used it for 30 days, the company is likely to close your account, which has happened to me a couple of times with Yahoo. The other option is to request username and password at the login section, and see if you are able to get anywhere with that.

I am doing research on PC vs Mac for unix programming. What are the differences? Which Platform would be preferred?

That was a rather open question.

As long as the language is standards-based, you should have no problem using the language on any platform where it's certified.

That said, anything related to utilising specific operating-system related features such as GUI are much different, except in Java. Since Java is the same output regardless of platform (but version-specific), you can run it on any platform with the correct version (usually the same or newer) Java Virtual Machine. As mentioned, Java programming is the same on almost any platform. Traditionally, Macs lagged way behind Windows as far as Java releases are concerned, but the lag a lot less now (a few months, sometimes less). Macs also are much more Java-friendly.

Non-Java GUI programming is, as mentioned, much different. Honestly, enough tools exist on both platforms to make GUI programming similar in experience, though much different in actual code.

C, C++ both program the same on either platform (again, GUI code will be platform-specific).

A giant plus to Mac programming is that you have access to all the UNIX-type stuff in a way which is a part of the OS, as opposed to on a PC, where it all needs to be added on. I love the Terminal app on OS X - nothing like it on PCs.

Finally, if you're backed by someone with money, the tools on PCs are a bit better than what OS X has to offer, but not substantially.
